@RaFDX @stephenn82 @kilyan82
Great Scores Guys!!! Keep em coming bros

Haha for sure maybe the GPU's would be inline with current gen PCIe specifications, yet if were connected to Infinity Fabric. Use AMD PCIe-XFinity of no number specification. Limited by the throughput of the system memory. The boards would need to be nuts though, because of the heat of the trace's on the PCB. Would need some sort of Trace Heatsink to cool the trace's at that point...

I'm so happy I went with the 390X, its also just a dumbed down version of the fully unlocked variant of hawaii only someone real special gets to test solo on their rig. HAHA

Rather than 64/176 ... maybe 390X was just 50% of the full unlocked Hawaii Silicon... used way too much power I'm sure... It's all good though haha

Hmm with today weather it seems like the 1204-1270 bios is running way to hot even with max fan..frown.gif Also getting a good bit of white dots in dirt 3:( Mostly seems when the temp gets over 80.

Chris can you make me couple that is 1133 1150 and 1173? and with memorys with 1270 and couple with 1500 memory if doable?

Think the 1204 is a bit to hot for me today with this weather lol...

This x9 case really holds alot of heat... case itself was really warm.. lol

@stephenn82Need ultra stable bios low temps probably 1133 : 1250 for folding... Only a 3 days run which is fine.

Download app, sign up, log into app... Begin folding and your folding amount gets recorded online... thumb.gif

@gordesky1biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Yet again your avatar fits that Core & VRM temperature perfectly!!! So funny man.

Yes sir, will do. thumb.gif

If anyone has the cash for 5 dollar solder flux and a 10 dollar hot air blower and 69 bucks for a 290x in title yet believe to be 290... this may turn out to be a great buy... Just pull cooler... set flat on tin foil... low setting on blower place in the center of the core diode and rotate in a circle for I would give it 60 seconds... add a little liquid flux though before you begin around the edges of the chip so when heated the flux seeps under the core to properly go to all solder balls....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/262928999465?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

http://www.ebay.com/itm/131373589900?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Never cover tip/ push directly to anything too long or could burn out the blower... the low settings is the only setting you should ever use. Hold at a 1-3" distance from core diode for 60 seconds in circles as you watch the flux seep under the chip... it will reflow it.

@gordesky1 These are all from scratch... I moved all the old bios to an "Old" folder. Started fresh, new perspective experimental untested bios.

I have not tested of the behavior of "Max Temp" on Hawaii/ Grenada but I think it would throttle and not allow the GPU to rise past that temperature as long as values are in line.

Max temp of 75C here, post results... I'm interested since I think it would throttle the clock at 75C... I did test 84C max temp on 1250mhz core and it was stable and did not crash after running Superposition over and over again... I think it actually works...

Let's see...?

Gordesky1_75C_Max_Temp_1133_1333_1250_888.zip 99k .zip file
Gordesky1_75C_Max_Temp_1144_1333_1250_888.zip 99k .zip file
Gordesky1_75C_Max_Temp_1157_1333_1250_888.zip 99k .zip file

If this "Max Temp of 75C" does not work on DeLimited BIOS... Then we can solve these temperatures with Math.

We saw VRM hit 92C. We also saw Input power 350 watts... 350 watts divided by 92 = 3.804347 (means nothing for now) haha wink.gif

At least this can tell us what TDP is your max if we want no more than 75C... Basically 92 Divided by 75 = 1.2267 (22.67%) means we need to reduce TDP to 22.67% of 350 watts... Equals : 285 watts... New BIOS on the way... LMK on the above BIOS in the mean time.

Tried the Gordesky1_75C_Max_Temp_1144_1333_1250_888.zip 99k .zip file top files

heres the hwin info while playing dirt for about 30mins. no crashing.

That's nice man but I don't think you could walk away while sitting in game haha Right? That's the Hawaii/ Grenada for ya. So for your GPU we must define the TDP... Try 1144 285w tdp and post Hwinfo. thumb.gif

Reason being judging by 30min, those temps are on the rise so would likely crash eventually. Even 285w may be pushing it. Continuous walk away stable maybe 267W.

Heres the Gordesky1_75C_Max_285W_1157_1333_1250_888.zip 99k .zip file seems to run a bit cooler than the top ones. 54mins in dirt 3 and seems to max out around 76 core and 75vrm steady

Really need to buy those thermal pads lol..
