I'm just using Catalyst Control Center as well. Also the temps are a little higher than mine at a lower fan speed I'd keep any eye on it. I'm getting around 72C average with the OC & fans set to 65% while gaming. It could just be case differences or something simple like that so I wouldn't worry unless the temps get higher. I will say though having the fans at 65% on my XFX DD Core 390 is much more tolerable than 75%, they are fairly loud at that speed.

Maybe try similar settings to mine with CCC to see if you can get the temp & fan speed down a little. Afterburner did not play well with my card for some reason. I installed it then started up the Witcher 3 intending on using it just as a monitor for the time being so I could get a baseline of my rigs stock speeds. When I loaded into the game it was artifacting like crazy & I hadn't even OCed anything yet! So I ended up uninstalling Afterburner & problem solved, no more artifacting in the Witcher 3. Ever since then I have just used CCC to OC my card & have gotten good results too. thumb.gif

I don't get any artifacts in Witcher 3 on stock or OC settings.

I gave CCC a try at your settings and got instant artifacts in Firestrike. It doesn't seem like there is any voltage control in CCC and I'm running +75mV in Afterburner to get 1125/1700 and 100mV 1140/1700. That may be the reason temps are different, it might be mine just doesn't clock as well. I can get to 1100 without adding voltage. Another reason could be ambient temp since I've had my AC off the past day, but adding that core voltage definitely brings my temps up. It doesn't go past 77-78C, and temps go down depending on what I'm doing in the game. Fan speed is still loud at 65 and I'm not too concerned about it, even at 75. I do run a custom curve in Afterburner so I can always mess with that.

I was trying to get to 1150 and I might still try but probably will need to +Aux voltage and I'd like to keep temps under 80. I'm going to mess with my voltage some more if I can bring it down a bit it might help.

OH and one thing I noticed is is we are using different drivers! Maybe it's because I am using the beta driver? Also your physics score is very high! Must be the skylake chip? specool.gif I haven't OCed my 4790k at all.

UPDATE: been messing with the 1125/1700 profile and got the core voltage down to +63, temps are better now low 70s. I'm still curious to try the 15.7.1 driver and see if there's any difference.

I had asked this last night and hadn't received a response, but is a 70.2% ASIC quality not good for this card? I haven't tried OC this card yet to see how well it does.

Asic shouldn't matter that much, either its a good overclocker or its not, so just give it a shot

Hey guys does this look right???
I have a Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower, similar like in this photo:

I have one 200mm fan in the front pushing air inside and one 200mm fan on the top as exhaust. Back and side has places and airholes for extra fans but I'm not using them at the moment. The temps inside my case are usually around 30-35C depending where you take the temp. I'm using 3 different hard drives that are situated on the dock next to the front fan and mobo for places where I've monitored these temps.

I'm going to get the MSI R9 390 and propably aim for the higest OC I'm able to get stable. Will the configuration of my case and it's fans lower my chances on getting a proper OC or is it in this case more about silicon lottery?

Any input is highly welcome.
