[Official] AMD R9 390/390X Owners Club - Page 296

Just got my brand new MSI 390X yesterday, for the price of a 390. Did some testing today. My first test was to see how low i can go with Voltage. I managed to run Valley @ 1080/1500 with -100mv, at 1100 core i got artifacts. Here is my score.

Pretty sweet dude. How cool were the temps at that voltage? And how high did the fan spin?

What program should I test stability on?
Ran my R9 390 to 1150/1750

+100mV/50PL for 1080/1500 seems pretty bad.
Mine runs +75mV/50PL @ 1145/1700

He said - 100mv (minus). I'm presuming it's minus, as 100mv is hilariously bad for 1080mhz wink.gif

I could do 1140mhz core at 25mv on my 290.

Yeah, he's undervolting 100mv and getting 1080, that's pretty impressive thumb.gif

For sure, I'd love to see power draw/thermal numbers for that. 1080/1500 is no joke, with heavy overvolting the cards are maxing out at 1200/1750 AT BEST.

I can't remember whether there is the option or not, but I wonder if it's possible to undevolt aux also???

Firestrike needs a little more voltage than Valley to be stable. So better test with that.
I said -100mv, which is undervolting biggrin.gif

I also run FS and noticed that i have to increase voltage to -70mv to run without artifacts. So its 1080/1500 at -70mv/+50PL, max temp 66C with 24C ambient! (Idles at 33C with fan at 30%)

Edit: You can undervolt aux and i can test it, but first tell me what is that for! wink.gif

Well, not sure exactly, but it seems to directly impact the ability to overclock the memory past 1600-1650MHz on most cards, though many have not needed it to reach 1700-1750MHz
