Hmmm, so by the looks of that it's only the XFX 390x's that need the extra powerlimit to stay at max clocks (at stock).

damn good vrm temps though and that AIO sure is doing damn well to keep those core temps tongue.gif

1.

2. MSI R9 390 Gaming 8G

3. Stock

Been lurking for a bit, but decided to finally join because I'm looking for insight.

In my post is my current OC.

My aux voltage is also set to 75+.

This is as stable as I could seem to get my card to run, but I feel like I'm pumping way more voltage into my card then most.

I have very little knowledge of this my method was just bump the core and memory separately in increments of +5, and when I started seeing artifacts bump the voltage up +5.

Started seeing artifacts no matter what voltage at 1160 on the core, and started at 1720 for the memory.

Just wanna know if anyone more knowledgeable on the subject may be able to point out something I'm doing wrong, or give me some tips.

Also, here's a little more info on the rest of my system.

The rest like my psu is in my sig.

You could try lowering the memory under 1700 and bumping up the core clock. See what you can do with +100/50mV. My MSI seems to have a tougher time with high memory OC but can do core increases easily.

I've done that I raised them both independently.

Even without the memory OC'd I couldn't go over 1155.

I've been monitoring it tonight while gaming, and I'm think it's a temp restraint.

Might just have to work on my air flow, and finding a cooling alt.

I'm a MMO guy, só i mostly ill be playing games that this GPU can nail 150+ FPS like FPS's, moba's, and open world RPGs, was always a console player but since im not getting an atual gen console, gonna switch to PC, how a good OC (1150/1650 maybe) its gonna help in real gaming performance? I know i cant expect +30 FPS gain but maybe 10 in hm... BF4?

2. I'll be playing in 1080p, maybe VSR 1440p, theres a need to go for 390x instead? And theres much difference between VSR and real 1440p performance wise? This question is cause i really wanna enjoy the 144hz feature só i plan on going 60+ FPS, maybe some 100 or max i can get.

3. This PSU can handle the i5 OC'ed to 4,5ghz and everything fine? Plan to buy a second 390 in a year or so and i know i would have to upgrade, what should i get there? 1000w min?

4. Do any of you guys know a shop that can ship for Brazil besides eBay? I have trust issues with these. Hardware here are overpriced, we are used to go on local Store, cause by shipping here
The prices are abusive. By my math, importing + taxes still cheaper than buy over here. And we dont have plenty of options, for WC for exemple... All i can find CM and Corsair.

Im so sorry for post lenght, but cmon, after reading the whole thread, i kinda deserve it right hahaha. Sorry for any grammar mistakes and thank you all again! Feel free to give your opinion in anything even not GPU related on the rig.

1. MMO are cpu bound mainly, a 390 do good. OC the cpu is the better option.
2. 390 is fine for 1080p and overkill.
144hz with freesync monitor is the way to go. you dont need 144 or more fps to enjoy a 144hz screen.
Freesync as if you buy a monitor today nothing else make sense IMO.
3. crossfire 1000w with a quality psu.
4. no idea.

Under 100% load GPU is 95C, VRM1 is 82C, and VRM2 is 49C.

Ignore vrm2 apparently there is only 1 sensor

That is definitely way too high might want to look into checking the thermal paste. Does your case have good airflow?

Yeah I was gonna look into that and possibly find an aftermarket cooling solution or water loop.

Has pretty good airflow I haven't done anything to make it any better but it's a wide open case with a plenty of fans.

Card has plenty of breathing room.
