I think it's typical sapphire non- binning to be honest...

So many tri-x 's all over the net that only clock to 1120, and then all these others that do 1250-1300.

Maybe the same case with the 390?
Say that cause so far the results and reviews of overclocking have been less than stellar for them.

On another note...

I need some help regarding clocking my 9590 on the kitty... If you get a chance biggrin.gif

Sure, send me a message or ask in the kitty club and I along with some others can help you out smile.gif

Can you show a firestrike result also?

Are the two cards clocked the same?

Is the top card throttling under load?

I have found that when using crossfire on these cards, that using different clock speeds causing major issues....

And even if they are set at the same clock, if the top card is throttling due to temps, it will cause the same issues.

Can we a GPU-Z or Afterburner screen shot of what's going on during the run?

Hello all, been away enjoying my card. tongue.gif

Is VRM cooling more relevant to Core overclocking or Memory overclocking? Or both?

1250 on the core for Sapphire seems extremely good. Congrats Sgt. Bilko.

Just had one for two weeks...

Use a custom fan profile, and high flow case fans, and she'll do great!

Crossfire between a 390 and a 390x will work

Temps are going to be high. Use a more aggressive fan curve and wear headphones.

I have a 390X STRIX, was loud and hot, but then I decided to try undervolting which worked great. It's overclocked and undervolted and my temps are great now. VRM went from 106C to mid 80's. Core temp is mid-70's and much quieter.

Damn, ASUS is terrible with video cards if that is true for every sample of the card. Their 290 is among the worst.

Telling you guys...

Do NOT crossfire a 390 with 390x unless you are clocking the 390 about 50mhz higher than the 390x(in which case you have wasted money on the 390x). You want both GPU's to perform identical or you will have stutter...
