soon, they going for looks which is a step forward.
since they formed the radeon group there be a bit more focus on software along the way as VR etc..are coming.
they changed from the .net to .QT for the app source code which will change the loading of the app by seconds if the source is correct.

I am more laid back atm, waiting for zen and the next generation green awesome island next year.
going all crimson next year thumb.gifbiggrin.gif

So today I decided to do a little overclocking and benchmarking and at 1185/1725MHz with +100/+55mV these just happened.

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/9125612?

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/6377920

14725 graphics in normal Firestrike and 6481 in Extreme? Holy crap. And it didn't even break 75C. I love it when it's cold. I mean, it's like 15-20C still, but it's getting lower. Maybe I'll give Trixx a go later on... biggrin.gif

Hey guys,

Small question. I've recently started OC'ing my MSI R9 390 8G.

Current MSI Afterburner settings
+100 mV
+50 power
Core Clock 1170 MHz
Mem clock 1700 MHz

While running GTA 5 Im getting 0 artifacts under 100% load for playing like 1 hour or so. The only thing is that my GPU gets to around 80 degrees celsius.
My idle temps are around 63 degrees. I'm not sure whether these temps can harm my GPU on the long run?

What are normal (non harmful) 100% load temperatures for a MSI R9 390?

Thanks!

Alright guys, got a scenario for you.

I just got a great new job and have quite a bit of extra spending cash and want to get another 390x, the question is, do I get the MSI 390x and have matching pair.

Or do I get some other 390x variant.

Which 390x should I get guys?

Another MSI would be fine. They have some of the better cooling in the 390(x) series of cards (especially VRMs).

Make sure you have very good case cooling if you want to use 2 390xs.

What's the best software to stress/benchmark the card so I can see the temps when under load?
