re-learning the ins and outs of cpu overclocking the past couple days and its interesting how if you don't have a high enough cpu input voltage that the pci express slot craps out when it tries to go full 16x 3.0 mode.

besides that little tidbit i have a working 4.3ghz overclock with a bit better results now, also with a 4000mhz uncore. i'll prob run another 3dmark run for the contest to see if i score even a tiny bit better. GO TEAM RED!

don't forget to get up in this, even if you score low your result helps us all win!

I need to get some scores submitted for that.

Hey guys I need help. My MSI r9 390 suddenly became 6-10C hotter w/o changes.I havent change any voltage, clocks, fan profiles any whatsover. I just left it overnight downloading something and when I woke up my idle temp is 63C, which supposed to be 54-56C. Now my max temp on AC:S is 82C, ive already finished the game and my max temp before was only 75C. Anyone experienced this also?

Today i got my second hand msi R9 390 390x a was zo ******* thrilled and I was going to post in the thread to join you here.

But when i opened the boxes I was missing my receipt for the warranty, this is when I started to get nervous, this is what i found in the box. frown.gif

Take a good look at the picture below, not only is the cable hanging out look at the steel that is grinded away. :O

Then i saw the warranty label was broken.

What were they trying to do with that? Modify it so they could use a universal block or something? That's awful. What a scam...

What is your ambient temps? Sounds like the case it's in isn't getting enough flow or somethings up if you haven't messed with any settings or voltages

I dont have a thermostat here but i think its 20-24C. I dont think its airflow either because ive been using this for weeks and i havent changed any settings on the fan, so its impossible to suddenly have a bad airflow. I guess its a driver problem or the card itself..
