Yup. Here is a 1175/1625MHz run and here is a 1175/1700MHz run. As usual, higher memory clocks score 50-150 points more for me. What's strange is that I got some slight artifacting in both of these tests, but they ran fine. My card seems to be losing OC potential over time, damn it. tongue.gif

Max temps were 70C, so it might improve with lower temps, but it's not bad.

What kind of voltage offset are you using for core/AUX? What are your VRM temps?

You're catching me off guard, I didn't even open GPU-z. tongue.gif

I used +100/+50mV. VRM temps are on average 5-7C below core and that applies pretty consistently when benchmarking, as in prolonged gaming sessions they can climb a bit higher than that.

Strange thing is I could do 1175MHz just fine. Why it would artifact now is beyond me. Damn it. I'll also try less voltage, but I'm kind of giving up on this chip.

I went through that with my previous MSI 390 (and maybe with this new 390x)

I ran at 1200 core, 90mv for about a week, then I'm playing Crysis 3 one day, and start getting some artifacts. I see hat my temps were 3c higher than normal, then I look at the thermastat on the wall and see my living room was about 78f (normally keep an indoor temp of around 72f.... I cut the AC, and tried again 10 minutes later after the room had settled to a more comfy 74f, and the card did fine. When using air on Hawaii, the littlest amounts can count. That's the beauty of the water cooling I guess redface.gif

Although it's certainly a possibility, I don't think it's temps in my case. I mean, when I got this card and started overclocking it it was the end of September or so. The weather went on to being kind of hot until November (like 25-30C ambients or more), but I had no problem overclocking. Sure, it would climb to over 80C most of the time, but it worked. At some point it stopped doing so and I don't know why. Drivers? Something I did? I have no idea. And right now I'm saying I want to upgrade to Polaris come fall, but I don't even know if I'll have the money, so I may be stuck with this card for a while. Fixing its quirks is important, but it's not doing me any favors.

You will need 5GHz + on the CPU and 1100+ on the GPU to get to 10K.

An i3 beating an FX 8 Core is an unsolicited hersay.

A little help about Sapphire.

At the moment, my PSU is the following: http://archive.benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=26&Itemid=1&limit=1&limitstart=1 - Apparently i can't use Sapphire with its connections. If i use something like Power cable PCIe 6Pin to 8Pin, i will be ok you believe? I mean be able to use the card on its 100% or i will have losses?

Ty in advance, i assume the best way would be to change also my PSU but at the moment with the budget i have will be a problem. So the question is if it will be ok, or if not, go for MSI

Here you go fanboi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe_Bp6W6G3I

AMD CPUs are crap with the new Skylakes out, quite simply.
The FX gets demolished by the i3 really, and costs less.

Use DDU and wipe all amd drivers and reinstall latest crimson, could be a catalyst artifact that is causing interference.
I use Trixx myself and i sometimes still see the 100% spikes, it's basically Crimson and Trixx both interfering with each other and if you watch temps you will see it report a temp like 800oC for a millisecond which causes the system to freak out and set 100% for a few seconds before settling back into a curve.
I've found that for me, i don't even touch the overdrive section of crimson (touching it installs it to my knowledge, essentially creating both crimson overdrive and trixx overdrive settings) and use trixx solely for my OC, i haven't seen a 100% fan spike in some time.

One thing to watch out for, crimson loads before trixx (in win7 at least), so if you leave a trixx OC profile running on shutdown (for me, 1130/1600), on a restart i would either get 1050/1600 or 1130/1600 (depending if crimson woke up on the wrong side of the bed) and this would play havoc with fans and OC settings. I highly recommend resetting your core/mem speeds prior to any system restarts so to make crimson behave, and then only load and play with profiles in trixx after your system has fully restarted.

crimson is nice, but it still doesn't play well with trixx and afterburner from my knowledge for overdrive/OC

Thanks for the overview. I'll keep an eye on things from now on.

Benchmark specific. And games that are poorly coded.

I can throw you my numbers and try to catch them with i3s.
