If you didn't have custom watercooling, mine would be more expensive. tongue.gif

I had to hold back on purchasing computer stuff for 2 years because I didn't have enough to buy what I want. But when I had the money, I splurged all over. In retrospect, I should have kept some on the side, have a more robust upgrade path. But do I regret it? No, not at all. It's been almost 2 years with this rig (minus the 390x, I got that in September) and I still look at it like I'm in love. biggrin.gif

The watercooling wasn't too bad, the most expensive is the actual pump/fittings/gpu block the rest is pretty decent.

I got my r9 390 for about 350€ so not bad, but ends up being about 400$ or so if not more wtv the currency was few months back. Meanwhile its prob 350$ if not even less on newegg. But you can't compare eur to usd as the pay is WAY different between the EU and US at least in France anyways.

Yeah, try that with the average pay in Greece. Get depressed. tongue.gif

Anyway, we have it better in other aspects in Europe, so I ain't complaining. It's just that I'm kinda envious of US citizens because my hobbies are such. PC gaming, cycling, audio are all far cheaper across the pond. But what can you do? whistle.gif

Damn you. I got myself a custom Merida Scultura Comp 905 used (but barely so, the guy could have told me it was new and I would've believed him) for 1700€. It's not bad, but for about the same money I could have got it new in the US.

If I could import stuff from the US without having to pay huge amounts in customs (not to mention waiting for potentially several months before my things get processed), I would do it all the time. But I can't so... Yeah, I'm stuck.

Anyways! Sorry for the OT everyone! (Or not, it's been awfully quiet here the past 2 days anyway tongue.gif )

What are the differences between the Sapphire 390X Tri-X and the Nitro?

Honestly i think its just a name change. Tri-x used to be what the r9 290 was called then they went to Nitro for the r9 390. i think the 390 is nitro and 390x is tri-x but could be wrong.

I know that in the fury case, the Nitro is different as it offers a better power delivery circuitry on the pcb in comparison to the tri-x.
I am wondering if there is the same case on the 390x with the Nitro having a better pcb.

390 doesn't have the Tri-X name. Only the 390X has a Tri-X model.
