Best way to test would actually be at full load on a dmm. Idk if what gpuz and hwinfo is correct but i do believe the 390 pulls something like 18a or something.

Yep, The Stilt has highlighted Hawaii ~20A on 12V rail, so Grenada be similar.

Hi guys

I have 2 R9 390X in crossfire... however running stock clocks they throw up artifacts.... I have tried both cards one by one and the same deal artifacts also tried them on a totally different system...

one card seems to be worse then the other one.......

If I however downclock the core by say -20mhz then all artifacts vanish and are gone for good.....

if I raise the clock by say +10 or +20mhz on the core I get crazy artifacts and screen flashes on both cards

is it safe to say these are REALLY bad overclocking cards or I just got duds???

should I rma?

Sounds like stock volts they got artifacts and sounds like over volted even more so. Kinda weird to have BOTH cards that are that bad but not impossible. Unless its a driver issue somewhere.

Man... At first I was like "Here we go again, more butthurt AMD fanboys that blame NVidia for everything". I don't like NVidia either, mainly for their business practices, but people online seem to treat AMD like saints sometimes and I like that even less.

But this guy makes some good points. And most importantly, it's his tone that sets him apart from most similar "rants". NVidia should follow the rest of the industry instead of trying to force their way upon us. If they believe their products are so superior they should prove that on a level playing field. But I guess they aren't as impressive when it's fair, and impressive is what sells these days, so... Yeah. I hope some of this backfires on them for our sakes.

You can tell its not biased where he says he likes Nvidia 3d better then AMD lol. But i mean does anyone really game in 3D it hasnt picked up like they thought it would.

I mean honestly i blame Nvidia too but its not so much a blame as shoddy capitalist business practice. Also lets not forget their CEO worked and learned everything from AMD/ATI so dont forget that one.

The tessellation one is absolutely true and its a known issue in a few games. This is the chart i love to show people. Why nvidia why?
