Dear Batman: Arkham Knight PC owners,

We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.

Thank you to those players who have already given valuable feedback. We are continuously monitoring all threads posted in the Official Batman: Arkham Knight Community and Steam forums, as well as any issues logged with our Customer Support (http://support.wbgames.com/). If you purchased your copy of the game and are not satisfied with your experience, then we ask for your patience while these issues are resolved. If desired, you can request a refund at https://help.steampowered.com (Steam refund policies can be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds) or the retail location where you purchased the game.

The Batman: Arkham fans have continually supported the franchise to its current height of success, and we want to thank you for your patience as we work to deliver an updated version of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC so you can all enjoy the final chapter of the Batman: Arkham series as it was meant to be played.

Was just coming here after having read it on Steam. Well, at least that is something, but with over 8.2k reviews with only 32% positive ones it was the logical thing to do, the game is in an unacceptable shape right now.

The suggestion to run the game at 720p at low settings on a GTX 660 / HD 7950 already predicted this outcome, it's telling of a game that isn't ready to be shipped. It's outrageous and the last straw urging some kind of more decisive response from them. I mean, making people feel like they paid a triple A price for Xbox 360 / PS3 visuals in 2015 is offensive (I can play Arkham City and Origins on my 750 Ti at 1080p with 50fps+, so...)

They should have been forthcoming from the start that it wasn't them, Rocksteady, developing the PC version. People were confident in a good release because of the PR, that Rocksteady was back to developing Batman. What really happened was profit 101, they developed the money making console versions and outsourced the PC port to a lesser paid small team of 12 that has more experience with console games than PC ports with a rumoured 8 weeks to do the job.

The game is still for sale, but it shouldn't take long for it to be removed (let's hope so).

How about those poor saps that paid $90 for the 'premium' edition?

I would say that they deserve some kind of compensation. Actually, all of them that choose to soldier on and don't ask for a refund should get some form of compensation as a token of acknowledgement for being loyal and patient.

And when they put the game for sale again, it should at least be cheaper, even if just a bit, say 49,99€ (it's currently 54,99€), as a token of good will.

And I hope that they (WB) take a radically different stance with this game compared to what they did with the previous one:

Batman: Arkham Origins has no plans to fix several game breaking bugs
The developer said that it's busy working on story DLC and has no plans to address a number of existing issues with the game.

You see, folks... This is how it's supposed to work when companies release a bad port. You pan them until they fix it, or you get a refund.

You don't go on the forums and blame the consumers who're getting screwed out of their money.

I'd like to know just how many refunds have been claimed through Steam. It'd be nice to be able to gauge how much of an impact that new and incredibly valuable consumer option has influenced their change of heart from the earlier comments of "Suck it up, you bunch of whining babies."

I honestly believe that Sony payed to sabotage the PC version. Yea, conspiracy theories. But how can they royally screw up a port of a HUGE, HIGHLY ANTICIPATED game? They probably thought they could get away with it since MKX didn't get nearly as much exposure. There is just NO WAY they didn't know of these issues prior to release. A big publisher/dev not having proper QA? I don't buy it.

Either they didn't care about the PC version and shipped it anyway, or someone at the company that is in charge of porting is getting fired for lying about the status of the port. Or Sony. Or Aliens.
