Ambient of like 30f, or, running at 1080p 60 fps with Vsync enabled.

Let the dude try running 144Hz 1440p, or, uncapped 4k. Bet that GPU won't run at 65c oc'ed on stock fan profile then.

So! i finaly made the upgrade to the MSI 980 TI from my EVGA 970 ssc. biggrin.gif

First impressions this far is that performance is great! And the sound level is fenomenal compared to the acx 2.0+. thumb.gif

The acx cooler on the 970 was quiet, but only to an extent. Above 40-45% fanspeed it became the leaf blower from hell.
Thus making it hard to OC and game without waking up the family.

My concern is the temperatures. I started witcher 3 and temps are 78-80c with the fan @ 73~74% mad.gif

I have to admit i like my computer silent, witch it is! But i feel that i would be kund of sucky if a 700$ gpu cant keep the temps down below 80c @ stock speed.
Or that i have to tinker with a custom fan profile.

My case is a Define S with 3x140mm intake and 2x140 outtake @ ~720 rpm on idle and ramps upp to about 8-900 @ load. CPU is 4770k with Noctua d14

I tryed to set the case fan speed higher but the temps on the card is the same no mather full speed or fans on silent. (witch is odd)
Is this gpu realy that hotter then the 970? different reviews say 75c stock and about 79c oc?

Any ideas?

WItcher 3 heats GPU alot, What resolution do you have?

I think this GPU is a little to hot. Increasing to 4k heats it even more.

Dying Light in 4k with fan on 80% i have temps of 72-74
