I might try to re-arrange the fans. The third intake is new so im going to disconnect it and se what happends then.
The reason for the third fan was to lower the total rpm on the fans in the front.

What i noticed that can make a small impact in my chassi is if the fan blows on the card it seems like the air from the chassi fan pushes back the fan exhausting from the back of the card.

i simply took a thick papper bit and deflected the air to go more downwards and not blowing directly at the card. It gave me 2-3c.l Removing the fan filter helps alot but thats not an option =P

My card is running 1460 btw.

I noticed this as well, I wish the msi card had side exhausting heatsinks.

Look at your GPU usage. 56%? Man, get that to 99% in Witcher 3 and then we'll talk about temps.

I've had my fair share of hardware by this point. I know what to look for when people make outlandish claims. No offense. I just knew from the temps you claimed you weren't using your GPU to its full capacity.

Yeah that fan filter is not going any where! biggrin.gif

I removed the latest fan i installed a few days ago, the fan was installed in front and in the lowest position.
I tryed Valey again just on stock no oc at all, but still 80c. I have no idea what could be wrong here :/

I even opened upp all the "modu vents" on top to let all the hot air rise but no diff.

Any more ideas?

The stock fan curve is probably gonna let it get pretty hot to control noise.

Yeah, same thing with the evga 980 ssc acx 2.0+, they adjusted the fan curve to never go above 45%

The big difference is that 100% fanspeed with the MSI 980 ti is the same db as the evga with 65% fanspeed. biggrin.gif

At what ambient?

*My GPU runs pretty cool too... When it's freezing outside and I open up the window next to it.
