I just spent $380 over at PPCS for my three Vardar ER fans for the RX360 rad along with some fittings and... AND.... Wait for it... AND... AND... A second XSPC D5 PWM photon 270 biggrin.gif

I don't even want to count up how much this PC has cost me over the past year and a half. Now I'll probably have only one more order because I may need some more fittings, and tubing, as well as the 140 vardars when released.

Don't count! I haven't done a complete inventory of my build either.

But I did get a couple thousand $ in fittings and such... doh.gif

So I counted frown.gif I don't think I'll do that again.
I added up everything I've purchased from PPCS and FCPU since October of last year (when I first dove into WC), and it was a total of $2400. However, I did sell some waterblocks and such, so it's probably around $2000. Oh my, that's still a lot.

But anyways, I decided to order that second pump because I really don't want to get my case together with a single and then have to take it apart to add a second. WC is a pain in the butt. When I was building my 750d the way I have it now, it drove me nuts.

IF you're going to go all out, GO all out. Don't half assed go all out. You'll literally end up flushing fluid down the drain taking things apart and putting them together again.

I've spent over $300 in fluid alone because I put it together how I could "afford" and then 2 weeks later ended up changing it anyways because it wasn't what I wanted in the first place. Live and learn. Or, live and spend. It's a fairly cheap hobby having come from car modding. I had a 1986 BMW 325e that I went full euro on. Including a 1995 European M3 motor swap. STUPID fun.. but in the realm of hobby cost? Water cooling is nothing in comparison - lol. I'll gladly spend $1500 on fittings/pumps/radiators before I drop another $6,500 on a motor by itself. Was it worth it at the time? Totally. But, PC configuring and nerding about is way better for my wallet at this point with kiddo's, hehe.

That's what I'm "trying" to tell myself haha. That's the down side of colored coolant, and coolant period. I spent $40 on the Mayhems Pastel for my 750D, and now I'm building in an SMA8. However, I'll still use the Paste because mayhem himself said I could just filter the fluid using a coffee filter and reuse it. Then I can add new and fresh coolant to it. smile.gif

I had one radiator that just wouldn't get clean in my first three iterations so I've replaced coolant outright every time. Also, I'm never really decided on color it seems hehe. Good to know tho!

I'm still down because I'm cleaning EVERYTHING from scratch! Blocks taken apart and cleaned out by hand...

Rads flushed with Mayhems Blitz Part 1. New tubing and fittings cleaned out by hand...

I ran Mayhems Part two through the total system... Flushed that with DI Water, twice!

Then filled the loop DI water and the appropriate amount of P-Nuke

Got the air out of the system.. And NO BOOT!

FF Code on the CFVZ with the CPU LED lit. Dang!

Took the CPU out, there was some TIM or other kind of gunk on the pins in one corner of the CPU, cleaned it up..

No boot! Same Q-Code and CPU LED lit. doh.gif !

I'm testing out the "loudness" of the EVGA 1300 G2. Everyone says this PSU is SO loud. I just connected it via paper clip test, and it's not quiet... But not too loud either. I can guarantee that it'll be drowned out when I have the 20 fans in the build running. My ultimate goal is to have all the fans running around 600-800 rpm and have water temps no more than 35c AND Titan X temps no more than 43c

When I run at 800rpm on all my fans, it's VERY quiet but, I do reach 47c in games (COD:AW, SoM, GTA:V). Sometimes I get to 50c but at the lowest fan setting possible, that's really not much of a turn off, heh,. At max speed (1400rpm) I get to 43c max. It's worth it in general.

As for the 1300G2 PSU? People complaining about it being loud are crazy or very picky, I haven't ever heard mine at 800rpm on all of my 42 fans wink.gif
