I'm currently running it at 8002. Maybe that's what's causing it.

Drop it down in the 7900 and see how it sounds. Mine quieted down significantly at slightly lower. And, I don't think I lost 3 fps heh.

It'll go away completely in short time in my experience. Both of my TX"s have lost their coil whine up to 8000 memory clocks. I don't go much higher as I really don't see a hell of a lot of gain really. And, that ish gets hot, sir.

Hello. Sorry for asking here, but you are the only one i have found with a 4790k at 1.45. So, how are your temps? And beyond that, how is your chip? Do you have it a long time? Any signs of degradation? Sorry if i asked a lot!

@SteezyTN i really envy you, you are ahead a year from me! You bought the exact colour scheme for the sma8 that i wanted! Hope it turns out well and if i udge from your 750d it will be an awesome build! Keep us posted!

Hopefully I'm not stealing too much from Steezy's thread here. Apologies in advance, Steezy.

I've had it a year now if I'm not mistaken. I don't run 1.45 24/7. I have run it for a month straight now tho. Nothing to bad to report smile.gif Temperature wise, during Firestrike runs it maxes temp at 71c. But, I have 480mm of radiator and a dedicated loop for it. I'm really hoping I can keep roughly the same temptations for bench clocks on the new 5960x with the added cores. Won't be the same clock speeds by any means sadly (not a j batch chip).

Thanks. I actually never wanted the white in my build and stick with "originall" black and red ASUS theme (mainly because the VI Hero and such). But since I already have the red fittings and red backplates, black, red, and white it is biggrin.gif. I wanted the red fittings and red pastel coolant, but then I thought that it would look bad color wise and have too much red. That's why I went with the white coolant and I love it. That's how it is my my current 750D and it just grew on me. I may even go with the white rings on the SP120's too.

No worries. All good. Just don't steal my thunder in my own thread, and we will be all good biggrin.gif haha JK

Does anyone know of a good flow meter/sensor. I would just like to see what the flow is like when I get everything ready and built. This is mainly because of the 560 GTS and a couple 90 degree fittings.

Lol you'll be fine with or without one. I have 9 90's and a ton of radiator.
