Because I purchased them two months BEFORE the release of the Ti. And I don't see why it matters if I'm rich or not. I'm fairly positive I didn't post anything about me "not being rich." I can splurge a little even though I'm not "rich." That's like saying you can't get the expensive steak when you go out for a fancy dinner occasion when you're celebrating a huge once in a lifetime accomplishment.

I can't wait. I'm so stocked.

I think he's just concerned that if the 980ti performs relatively the same as the TX why buy them at a $350 mark-up. Valid concern but her may not have known you had them already. thumb.gif

I'm in no way rich, but honestly, it doesn't matter if I am or not. I just wanted to go all out on a system to where I won't have to upgrade in 4+ years. Like I previously said, I already had the Tx's before the Ti was actually released. The Ti was still rumored, and it seemed like it wasn't true. However, I was planning on the Ti during the rumors, but Tigerdirect had a 10% off discount. I got both TX's for $200 cheaper: I was willing to return them for Ti's but with 10% off, I wanted the best. In fact, I already had the returns all set up. I even paid for the return shipping and had them packaged up. But I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to keep them.

Have you run the TX's yet with the stock coolers?

Are they as loud as the 980ti's reference versions? My 980ti reference was terribly loud.

Unfortunately I have not. Well I take that back. I plugged the first TX in just for boot to see if it worked, then the second. It was only in for like 10 minutes, and I immediately took them out and installed the waterblocks. i didn't do any gaming. I wish I did though, because I have only owned ACX coolers in the past, and they are quiet, until they run at load. But regarding the Tx noise, I don't think I've seen any complaints about the fan.

Stock, reference TX coolers are stupid loud in my opinion. Really like the acx 2.0 at full but at 70%.

Are they? If I wasn't doing watercooling, I would've probably ordered the ACX cooler

No worries. I have no intentions of getting a TX was just curious as that is my biggest complaint about the reference cooler on the 980ti. I would like a TX but I would feel obligated to then get a 4K monitor. LoL

Don't even get me started on 4K lol. Here I am shelling out $1800 + waterblocks for my two Titans, and I don't even have a 4k monitor. I'm currently using an ASUS PB278Q. I was going to wait for some more 4K GSync monitors, but after spending an additional $1400 on a case + radiators + pumps + PSU, my dreams of 4K are at least another year away, or until I earn the money back I just spent lol.
