Actually, I just measured the 1-1/4 I bought, and it comes to 30mm. Not sure what's up with that, but they work perfectly.

That's really good to know, I'll definitely keep that in mind from now on. Good find cheers.gif

Does 8-32 fit in the M4 threaded radiator holes? I thought 8-32 was slightly different from M4?

Yeah, if it was something other than a thin piece of radiator shroud, the difference would be too much. The shroud is probably only a thread or thread and a half thick. Sort of "self tapping" biggrin.gif

The M4 screws that came with the HW Labs GTX rads are long enough to do the fan/case/rad, but I had to source replacements (not easy in Podunk) for the P/P units.

Now here I am with $2000 worth of GPU's hoping they will last me a good 5 or so years without the need of upgrading any time soon.

I may add a second hard drive, but my Crucial m4 gets the job done. First SSD and it's so much better than the 250 EVO I bought for my Alienware.
Let's be honest those Gpus will be upgraded in under two years. I'm the same way always saying I won't than I do. Very addicting. Our you using all white for both loops. Have you thought of two different colors? Think white and translucent rs would look cool

Nope. I cannot be upgrading every time a new card comes out. Plus the fact that I won't have too much for gaming due to schooling and getting my BSN. My plan is to just have cards that will last me quiet a while.

I'll be using Pastel Ice white. I'm doing only one loop.

I'm a pre nursing major and I'm currently taking my pre-reqs before I can apply for the program. In the next 5 years, I should have my BSN (bachelors of science in nursing).

Update!

While I'm waiting for my drill bit for the passthroughs to come (I know... I should've just bought it from the hardware store), I'm measuring where exactly to cut. So far, this is what I have, and I love it. Now I understand they won't be 100% symmetrical, but I like it like this.

I have A LOT of studying to do, so this is where I end tonight. Maybe tomorrow I'll try and do the holes for the front rad tomorrow.

So for now, everything is going great. Pump/res' mounted with Tubing layout done, radiators installed, fans installed, and that's pretty much it. It's coming along very nicely.

I just can't believe I'm actually building this. I don't want to sound like a person who knows it all, but I personally believe this build is looking like a professional did it. I'm very proud of myself.

As far as the fans go, I will be sending back one 140ER for sure, and maybe a few more once I get the PC working. I can't change the rpm on the fans yet, but when I do I'll know if the fans are working correctly or not. Also, I'm very glad I went with the Mayhems flex tubing. This stuff is very "flexible" and "bendy" lol.

I feel like my thread is going dead. Stay alive people biggrin.gif there's more to come! thumb.gif I'm thinking my build should be done by this Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday off, so hopefully I can get it done by then. I still need to cut the pas throughs, which I may do tomorrow. I have class till 9PM tonight, so tonight's a no go.

Never mind, I was wrong. The 1-1/4 were 31mm, and for sure the GTS screws were 28mm. I'm thinking about picking up two 560mm xspc radiator gaskets and putting those between the bracket and radiator, and another between the bracket and fans. So I may pick up some 1-1/2" screws (8-32 UNC) which is about 38mm. 31mm screw work for the GTS with the bracket and fans but there's a lot of room left. With two gaskets and the bracket, that's like 6-8mm more so 1-1/2 screws should work.

8-32 is M4, and it worked perfectly for my GTS rad, which has M4 holes.

The screws that came with the GTS were only 28mm long. They wouldn't even reach with the Vardars and bracket. 1-1/4 in screws are perfect because they are 31mm.

8 of the 10 passthrough holes have been drilled.

I'll start the tubing tomorrow after work, along with the last passthroughs. I'm going to change the CPU tube routing because I completely forgot that the mobo tray has two parts to it, and it's going to be a pain to drill through two pieces. I'll figure something out
