I'll try and post one tonight. It's almost like the red and black sleeves have just popped off from normal use or something.

PPCS told me to send them a video of the pump not showing RPM. I did that, but before that, I mentioned to them about me not realizing the pump was running. Well they told me to check all the wires and to see if everything was working correctly, such as a bad crimp or something like that. Well I did some more investigating, and I believe the pump is powering, but its running at the lowest RPM (this is with my second pump unplugged). I tested this by running valley with 3 of my Vardar 120's at 2000 RPM. After 5 minutes, the temperatures seemed like there were with my other pump at max RPM. SO based on that, it seems like the pump is powering on.

Now, it seems like the issue is just the RPM reading. In my Corsair link software, it shows that there is something connected to the channel, but it shows 0 RPM. I cannot change it or anything. When I plug in my swiftech D5 PWM, I can. Since the swiftech one works perfectly, there has to be an issue with the XSPC pump, and not something on my end, such as the corsair link.

I emailed PPCS with the video they originally asked for of the RPM not showing a signal, so hopefully XSPC will grant me a replacement, or at least try and fix the pump.

Just making a wild guess, do you know if the PWM and RPM wires coming out of the pump could have been extracted out of the 4pin PWM plug and then re-inserted for any reason? For sleeving perhaps? smile.gif

When you use a splitter between pwm, you only need rpm signal from one compoonent, everything is regulated based on that single component on the chain. I'm running 2 XSPC D5 PWM pumps each on their own channel at 100% using divamod and both show rpm. You could also short the pwm pin to a 5v pin on molex and it will run 100%.

I'm not even going to mess with it. Knowing XSPC, if I do something, they say it's my fault and it voids my warranty.

I understand that, but the RPM was not being read, nor could I change the RPM. This was even after I set it on its on channel. Even when they were connected to the Y splitter, if it's not detecting an RPM, it still won't change.

Just an update. PPCS sent me an email last night at 12am (which means it was 3am in Florida, wow). They are getting in contact with XSPC to see if they will approve the RMA. I hope they do, or else im out of luck because I don't know how to fix the pump, as its the wires that seem to be messed up.

At the moment, im still busy with school, but once PPCS lets me know what XSPC says, I will go ahead and order some compression fittings for the bottom compartment. Im currently using 7/16 fittings, and the tubing is 53/8x5/8. The compressions are not fully on, but secure. Id feel a lot better if I spent $30-40 on the right size fittings lol. I also ran into an issue with the front radiator and the 560 radiator clearance. The fitting that's connected to pass through for the front radiator hits the 560 and it buldges out when I have the case labs panel on. Im going to go ahead and order a bitspower 30 degree extender, so hopefully that gives me enough clearance.

I really hope XSPC grants me this RMA. When I found out the pump RPM wasn't working I freaked out because ive heard the horror stories about them and the RMA's

Hey SteezyTN did you receive your replacement power supply from EVGA, if so could you let me know if the sound issue has been resolved? I have the same power supply as you and I too am experiencing some noticeable loud fan noise from the power supply which is driving me crazy!

Yes I have. It's been installed for about a week. And honestly, it sounds the same. But I'm just going to keep it. It's a great PSU, but the sound is the only draw back.

It's not extremely loud, but you can hear the fan on idle, especially over my rad fans on the lowest to medium speeds. I got mine for $150, so for that price it's good. I don't feel like going through a return and refund, and then having to buy another PSU. Plus the quieter PSU's run around $250 for those wattages.

But overall with the loudness of the fan, it's okay because I have the intake against the wall, and with the SMA8 and bottom rads, it tunes it out a little.

Thanks for clarifying that smile.gif When you RMA'd, did you have to send back the cables along with the PSU? It would be pain in the a** to take all the wiring apart just to RMA thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

They send just the PSU replacement. Well actually, it was an advanced RMA, so they sent me the PSU (by itself), and I sent back the old PSU (by itself) in the box they sent it in. No cables were exchanged or anything like that. I'm not too sure if it's the same for a regular RMA, but I don't see why it would be any different.
