Yes that is parallel nothing series about it,

Look at and think about it using 2 y's instead of how blocks are and it is same thing!!!

I am just at a loss to think that running a parallel setup would "increase" flow being that you are splitting the flow in the first place.

It is that running serial has the restriction of pushing fluid into the block and until it finds the exit I essentially limits itself in the waterblock? Whereas parallel has multiple routes to constantly provide the flow?

No. I'm very positive that these are all regular flows of block. I don't think you can call it series or parallel when referring to a single block. You can only call it series or parallel when running two or more blocks.

The picture you link is all the same flow of blocks. It goes in one port and out the other. Non of them are a parallel setup.

But with the first picture you posted, it still goes through the block the same way, no matter the way the tubing is setup... There's only one card. It's the same as a CPU block or any other Block. For example, your division GPU block is set up in parallel, where each block gets half the water, which increases the flow and added LESS restriction.

Well it's just that putting cards in a parallel setup will give an increase in flow because each card gets half the water (something like that). When you only have one card, it's just as if it's a CPU block in a way. It will still have to run through the block. So with what you were saying about 1 and 4 being parallel, that's not true.

@kgtuning said that he swapped from series to a parallel GPU loop, and it gave him an increase in flow because it's less restriction.

Sorry I didn't read the other post after the first one. I was in class.

But no worries, cluter my thread all you wan't. I'm not like that, so it doesn't bother me.

Like i said above!! The amount of restriction is directly proportional to the flow!! The more flow the more restriction you have. If you split it then you lower flow across each block and you are not adding the restriction from block to block since they are in parallel!!

Okay okay what a conversation... flow across EACH BLOCK does slow down... going from series to parallel, however OVERALL FLOW through the loop increases because the restriction through the gpus decreases.

A single gpu that goes in a conventional loop is series ie.. res>pump>block>rad>back to res. This is a serial loop.

Okay okay what a conversation... flow across EACH BLOCK does slow down... going from series to parallel, however OVERALL FLOW through the loop increases because the restriction through the gpus decreases.

A single gpu that goes in a conventional loop is series ie.. res>pump>block>rad>back to res. This is a serial loop.
