Zotac 980 Ti AMP Extreme - Page 30

You guys are probably right , i just wanted to share my experience , even assuming that its a very shady one. And most probably i'm wrong at everything, i think i'm just sharing my feeling about my latest cards experiences, from GTX 980 to 980ti which were both zotac, and both OCED like crap. Quality issues, None except the fan problems which may become a headache on watercooled systems or anyone who likes everything working as it should. I mean we are paying premium right? why aren't we getting premium support and premium product finishings? That doesn't look like premium, i just feel like i've paid for a fancy cooler and thats all.

When i wanted to claim my 5 year warranty zotac reps blamed me on doing things wrong because my SN was not loaded correctly in their automate system database. That was the craziest and worst support response i've ever had in my entire life. I was just trying to register my product on their page and got flamed by their Support stuff. and i paid for premium. so great feeling.

Still this is not a trolling post, i just want to let know people that some other people had experienced very bad experiences with this brand.
And like productive criticisms i expect that this could generate future improvements on the brand by punishing them when its right to do so, instead of being unfairly generous with them for nothing.

PS:
i do think i have a decent pc.

windows 7 64bit ultimate

Asus X99-Deluxe

16GB gskill 2666 ram

i7 5820k on turbo.

and the 980ti extreme.

i think numbers should be good for the money and effort i've spent on this system.

its not the highest end out there , but it is a decent build i believe

Share your experience that's why where all here
I agree there customer service and registering the card was hell
The US site is non existent and Newegg was offering to give me a full refund because of it
I have an email and I'm on a list per rep for Zotac that's states it's registered
Still can't check online ......reminder to self call tomorrow
The card itself runs great and has of the highest ASIC's on this site....so I stuck it out

Beautiful chip hehehe.

if you got no problems with the fan too , i would confidently say you won the lottery actually.

Sorry if i've ever asked this before but, which were your max settings on this card?

regards

My max run to hit 1580 on GPU clock in Precision X on a good day

111% on power target
70c
80 GPU offset
400 Memory offset
That's my limit and hit the wall
Good Luck

Better luck with older drivers
Sometimes works better with lower power target 109%
These chips want to down clock on there own.... a real head scratcher

Several people here on this thread had specified that sometimes , when you have multiple OC tools installed for this card, they are getting performance problems like yours. So in order to resolve your issue, uninstall every other brand software, like Precision X, MSI afterburn , and only use firestorm, but be sure to reinstall it clean , and uninstall the others first.

Try that and then tell us what happened.

Can't wait until my extreme gets here from the egg so I can celebrate with either tears of pain or joy. Has there been any stealth revisions of the card since fan and pwr issues were admitted?

I understand that the unstable fan can be fixed with manual fan profiles?
