I just had a 980ti Amp Extreme fall into my lap that's suffering from some severe issues. I'm not familiar with this particular card's history but the symptoms are as follows:
- Green pixels on the screen at boot.
- The card doesn't show up in device manager.
- GPUz doesn't display any information, likely due to the above.
- If I choose 1080p as my desktop resolution it reverts to 800x600 and I can't change it to anything higher.
In a little bit of research I came across some info that mentioned green pixels when the voltage was too high, others mentioned instability due to heat and the 0% fan speed. So I figured I would attempt to flash one of these BIOS's mentioned here, not to increase of unlock the voltage necessarily but to just fix any possible BIOS corruptions could that be a possible issue. NVflash recognized the card and I was able to flash the fan BIOS from the first post but unfortunately that seems to have made life worse for the card as now it no longer displays my Windows environment; it'll still post on boot.
My question for you all is, is there a lowered clock and voltage BIOS floating around here that I can try instead? Or can I try flashing a standard AMP BIOS if this card truly can't handle the stock clocks applied by Zotac?
