Zotac 980 Ti AMP Extreme - Page 49

hello, i was testing the oc of my zotac amp omega 980 ti, and i could reach 1530mhz on the gpu and 8000mhz on the memory, only with gpu power at 111% and fan manual to 50%. the gpu stays at 68ºc at heaven uniengine bench at 4k without AA and on games at 60-62ºC, the question is that afterburner says that i only uses 87% of the tdp with that oc, what that means.?

best regards.

P,D it has 85% of asics.

Got her back up on fanfix.zip, I realized that I needed to set my defaults in afterburner before I got my boost I needed in games, but fanfix.zip works fine. I did not need to go to fanfix2.zip unless there was something that you modified to benefit it over the OG one you posted. Thanks for this fix. I can now tolerate my computer without that annoying fan fluctuation.

Tons of sag with stock cooler. No sag at all with the block. Then again, the tube could be helping out with that.

I may try a higher OC bios sometime this week. Load temps on Heaven after an hour long loop maxed settings 1440p are under 42C IIRC. That's including my 6600K @ 4.5 GHz. It did raise my cpu gaming load temps about 8C. Mainly just play Diabo 3 right now bc of seasons. It's pretty cpu intensive during GR60+

Makes sense with the hose helping out. It's probably pretty close but that block is super heavy as well. I'll be using some 16mm OD tubes in mine. Should help a bit with the sag.

@succezz good call on the Legos. Think I've seen that before. Also glad to finally see people using the corsair 400c. Now just waiting to see some custom loops in that thing. I've been eyeing that case for a while.

I really like the 400c. It is a very well designed case. I left my heavy Full tower for this. It has a small footprint, but feels premium. The Big Zotac fits as well thumb.gif

Im using 10/16 tube. The brand EK sells on their website. Cant remember off hand, but it's the proflex le or something like that. I picked it up at the MicroCenter in Cinci. It's great to work with. Doesn't have plasticizer.
I think something else that helps with the sag is the rigidity of the block. The stock cooler is quite flexible.

Your's clear with dye or is it straight up green?

I'm using the EK zmt rubber stuff. Matte black. Hear good things about it as far as ease to work with. No plasticizers either. Only beaf I have is no potential for dyeing the coolant. I suppose I could as I'll have a res but don't really see the point.

Got all of my gear now so I can't put it off any longer. I expect to take my time so maybe pics tomorrow? There'll be a few here but most will probably be in the fractal and ek predator threads.
