Yes it works like a charm.
I tried to oc'ed the card and can run firestrike at 1500mhz core, with stock bios/stock voltage (1,19volt).

Isn't it better to flash the card with a custom bios?
Except for the higher default clocks,do the xtreme bios have any other differences? (for example more volt, more tdp).

i think that only has more clocks but i am not pretty sure about it.!!

Custom bios will help deal with the fan issues as well as power limit problems.

I'm guessing physx used to be more relevant when CPU's were less powerful? Or maybe back when physx wasn't multi-threaded/multi-process?

Its always been a very small market but it remains relevant solution to this day.

All the sli hate guys mad.gif. These cards like any power hungry TI card need to be fed with cool air to maintain good temps this is not a unique attribute to the Zotac card.

For some strange reason, on my Zotac 980Ti Amp Xtreme I have to flash the VBIOS twice. I flash it once and it errors out, I flash it a second time and it takes. I don't know why.

Just keep in mind the hard lock on voltage and thermal downclocking
Custom bios can modify regular settings for performance but your still subject to the ASIC quality of the GPU for performance gains
My O/C is equivalent to a stock 1080FE which is fine with me
