Rocksteady has released a list of things they are working on in an attempt to get Batman: Arkham Knight to a playable state.
Below is the list of the key areas where we are dedicating our resources to improve the experience for our loyal fans:
Support for frame rates above 30FPS in the graphics settings menu
Fix for low resolution texture bug
Improve overall performance and framerate hitches
Add more options to the graphics settings menu
Improvements to hard drive streaming and hitches
Address full screen rendering bug on gaming laptop
Improvements to system memory and VRAM usage
NVIDIA SLI bug fixes
Enabling AMD Crossfire
NVIDIA and AMD updated drivers
While we work on improving performance, we will also continue to make interim patches available to address issues for those still playing the game on PC. The first patch is being released now and the updates include:
Fixed a crash that was happening for some users when exiting the game
Fixed a bug which disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion. We are actively looking into fixing other bugs to improve this further
Corrected an issue that was causing Steam to re-download the game when verifying the integrity of the game cache through the Steam client
Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when turning off Motion Blur in BmSystemSettings.ini. A future patch will enable this in the graphics settings menu
We would like to thank our fans for their patience and invaluable feedback. We will continue to monitor and listen for any additional issues.
What do they mean when they say enabling AMD CFX. Isn't CFX enabled with AMD drivers ? If so, pretty stupid move not not allow CFX with the engine itself.
I hope people don't start praising Rocksteady once this patch is released. Though I suspect many people will think it's an amazing show of support that they patched their game into the state it should have been on release.

Nope, same thing as FC4. CFX had to be disabled both by the game and drivers. It took Ubisoft 2 months to activate CFX and then AMD another 2 to have the drivers for it. Still broken to this day. If a game has SLI and CFX problem i dont think the game will play good with either even after driver updates.
They should be praised for fixing it and not just leaving it broken. However what you are right about is we should not just forget this and they should still have terrible publicty from their screw up. Fixing it does not erase what happened but its good that they actually did it.
Good too see updates and good to see the list covers most everything people had an issue with.
After hearing how steam refunds work (steam keeping their cut) I have no doubt this is what lit a fire under their butt. Im not going to praise them for fixing what should have never been broken. What I will do is thank steam and to a lesser extent gmg for giving us a way to get through to devs and publishers faster and not rely on their "goodwill" to patch their broken products
Also yeah lol driver issue...ahh that was fun times that morning
They won't be releasing a patch that will make the PC port as good as it should be. It will be like Watch Dogs' case, when it took them what.... 6 months or so to release a proper patch? This game is DONE as far as PC port goes. It already had a terrible reputation and even if Rocksteady does fix it properly, the overall sales WILL suck.

I have a hard time praising them seeing as they should have had this all sorted out before launching it. They had the budget and the time to make sure they had it all fixed. I think they are doing the right thing right now but going as far as praising them for it might be to far for me.

Wot? If that's true then it's a huge incentive for devs not to publish crappy games.
It can also drive away a few of them from Steam, but I guess if you're worried your game is going to be refunded to death, as a dev you should evaluate the quality of your product.
All things considered I would buy it. I paid 30 for it on ebay (steam key) and I don't regret it. Yes the game wasn't ready for primetime but I have been playing it on high-end hardware with minimal frustration and the game itself is great. They just obviously jumped the gun and let it out too early. People gripe either way although in this case they should have delayed it.
Still wont get me to buy the game.....wont support this kind of development team. I will wait for the magical price of $5 and probably buy from a 3rd party (ebay etc) just to screw them over.
I'm really happy with how Steam handled this.....put pressure on them and treated it's user base fantastically. Time to buy some games I have had on the wishlist as a thank you.
One thing I wish they would add into the game is what they did with Witcher 3, by letting us control the sharpness. I find the game to be very blurry and washed out.
I'm bitter about the state the game released in. If they didn't want to make the game themselves, then just don't make it. Otherwise release it a few months later when you can properly address the PC version yourself.
If they're that short staffed, then release console now and PC later when complete.
This was discussed back when GTA 5 was delayed for the 2nd and 3rd time. Some people were OK with it as long as the release was awesome. Others said they'd rather have a buggy game to play and have it patched along the way.

So it would appear that the list in the OP are things that'll get fixed over time and not all at once.
No additional graphics settings yet, still 30FPS lock, and still stuttery as hell. For me it remains unplayable...but at least motion blur can now be disabled successfully.
So where has Masked gone after making that stupid statement.....
He must be off working with some AAA dev on some sort of secret project, like he always says he is.....
