EVGA 980 Ti Classified FC Block? - Page 16

I don't konw, I mean I bought one, but it just makes me feel like EK isn't as "perfectionist" as I thought.

Don't need a new waterblock for gtx980Ti, the old is good enough.
I paid mine 99€ (new Classy waterblock usually cost 140€) and I have 36-37°C max. With stock cooler over 70°C and fan 70%, gm200 is hotter than gm204.
New Gtx980Ti Classy waterblock would be the same but would cost more... smile.gif

I'm not looking for "good enough." I don't want EK to be a "good enough" company. I want a company to care about getting the little things right. Like I said, I already purchased the 780 classy block, but I just lost a bit of respect for EK. That's all I'm saying.

EK produces many fullcover waterblocks for custom vga...and now we have our Ti Classy watercooled.
Where is alternative solutions from other manufacturers? No EK = no fullcover for many custom cards smile.gif

Could you please get a little bit more "stupid" and modify the 780 classy block just a tiny bit? Fill out the block, and just call it the "Classy (rev.2)" block or something.

780/780Ti Classified block is fully compatible (as the reps have mentioned a few times), so one is already being made. Which is nice, because I need to eventually pick one up for my 780 Classified.

Only thing the block doesn't cover is the memory mosfets, which in normal use don't get hot enough to worry about. If you're pushing the card to the edge (aka benching it), you'll want to get a small heatsink or something and have a fan blow over it.

I can definitely understand the desire to have the engraving changed to just say "Classified" or something along that line, as it works for several different cards now.

The guys who put heatsinks on VRMs, how are you securing the heatsink?

Not the ones I have, they didn't come with any adhesive. I'm thinking of using little bit of super glue to secure them.
