Alright guys, a bit of a setback but nothing I cant handle.

The 5.25 card reader i got, the Nmedia ze-c288 is kind of working. I cant include any in hand photos, because it isn't working. Everything else works ok, the audio is a bit fuzzy, USB 3.0 is great, and the on board fan controls are fun to mess with. however, it seems like it is a bit old and uses formats that are totally foreign and that no one really uses anymore...

Also, the watercooling stuff is taking forever to get here. It has been sitting in Cali and hasn't been touched till today..

ETA monday, and if all goes well and no homework is to be had, I can get all the water cooling stuff working by Monday!

Now, I have 3 options regarding audio and USB.

1) Do what I'v e been doing up till this point and just buy some more USB 3.0 and 3.5mm audio extensions and running them under the case and it sitting there. No internal mess, and It works just as well, or even better. i would just get an SD USB adapter.

2) Buy another card reader/USB/audio 5.25 bay and hope that works. it will be easier but then there are more cables inside.... frown.gif

3) Keep the nMedia in the machine and just not use the SD card reader and buy an adapter..

PLEASE VOTE IN THE POLLS

Audio is a bit fuzzy? That would be a deal breaker for me personally. I picked option 1.

Michael, thanks for voting, it seems like you're the only one who did. I guess I just shocked everyone with my extreme question.

Quick update as well guys, I am making a quick trip to frys in a few hours. My goals are to get:

Audio extension cable(s?)
USB 3.0 extension cables
USB SD card adapter
White LED(s?)
Some wire
Low profile CPU cooler
SFX PSU

I want to make an LED strip of sorts, but with only 1 LED. It will be placed under the motherboard and illuminate "up", so it isn't like a lamp when the room is dark but adds a bit of glow to it.

Audio makes the NMedia a non-starter, but having a cardreader to me is well worth it thumb.gif

I read some reviews of internal card readers that pretty much said they are all rubbish. What have other people seen / experienced?

Alright. the screwheads at USPS didn't touch the package for a few days, and they slate it to be delivered today... but it didn't come. So, ETA tomorrow.

Also, at Frys i got the 3.5mm audio extensions. They're pretty long, and they actually touch the floor, so I'mm ziptie those a bit smaller. I did do a bit more research on front bay devices, and theyre all a tad too expensive. I've already invested so much into this build that at this point, I really don't wanna spend any more money. Buyers remorse sucks.

More pictures to come, again, I cant really upload any more pictures until I can get my card reader situation fixed. I am gonna try and find some stuff on the amazon prime Now app, the thing where it is a one hour delivery, which seems pretty cool.

sorry guys, I know, i'm not happy either.

Alright, so the watercooling stuff arrived, as well as some other goodies.

As of right now, I need an anti-corrosive, and I'm working on that.

I received;

XSPC dual bay res/pump combo
EKWB supremacy (MX?)
Fittings
Fan controller
and some other stuff.

I also worked a bit on the case itself. I added in some zip tie anchors, as the basement was getting a bit messy... really messy, actually. With the fan controller controlling the fans, I really wanna keep the basement very neat and clean. The 24 pin is especially messy and goes all over the place, but I really don't wanna use any cheesy cable combs. In my opinion it makes the build look cheap, so no way.
I also had to mod the 5.25 bay mounts, the resovior didn't fit for some reason, so I had to drill some holes. Not it has a weird gap, so I have to figure that stuff out, so woo-hoo!

Thanks guys! The watercooling tubing is on its way, ETA Thursday. I can hopefully get it done by Friday, and start overclocking by Saturday.
