I went to California for a week, shadowing my older brother at his work for a week. i learned a metric *****load of stuff about GPU's. He also gave me a lot of spare parts, literally saving me hundreds of dollars, allowing me to do some cool mods. More on that later.

What I got for the build;

STORAGE
2x 1TB Seagate barracuda HDD's

RADIATORS
1x 480mm EKWB radiator
1x black ice GT gen two stealth 360mm radiator
1x 240mm EKWB radiator

FITTINGS
2x Koolance quick detach things
8x 45 degree (fittings?)
6x Bitspower compression fittings
?x barb fittings
1x SLI fitting thing
1x CPU block (looks cool, nice n simple but brand is unknown.)
100+x screws and o-rings

GPU's (NOT FOR THE BUILD)
2x GTX 480s (watercooled, looks like they have EKWB waterblocks. I'm gonna OC the crap oudda these things)

Wow. I love my older brother, but I had no idea he would give me all this stuff. Yes, some of this stuff is 10 years old, and yes, all of it except the 360mm rad is used, but hey- it was free. Some of the stuff including the 480s was given to me by a guy named James. He won an Nvidia build competition a few years ago, you can see it here. http://www.nvidia.com/content/nvision2008/case_mod.html I'm not sure if my older brother wants to be named, but if any Nvidians are reading this, Alex from GPU SWQA gave me the WC stuff. And yes, it was all his, not Nvidia's.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I'm not actually going to put the 480 in the build (it wont fit), I'll put it into another rig.

A little dusty, the 240mm rad loks 20x worse on the other side.

If anyone can identify what CPU cooler this is, that would be great.

A bit scratched, but I can polish it up.

Barb fittings. I'm not sure how I like the look of the clamps on them, I'm feeling ballsy anyways.. tongue.gif

Thanks, the regular text wasn't big enough and I wanted to give a bit of narraration for each pic, it's actually the "large" text size (I think), no bold here. Thanks for the parts names!!

Thank you bazg, the support from you and everyone else feels great! More pictures (hopefully) soon. I don't like how the 360 is a glossy black, and I need to repaint the 240 and the 480 anyways, so I might paint that too.

Getting all the rads the same color is the best. Good idea.

You should leave them Black.... For now. When you get it together and you don't like it, you could always paint them later. That's what I'm doing with my SMA8. I'm going to have a black, red, and white theme, and I may paint the rads white later.

As you said before that one was glossy and other matt. Um they would look nice to look all the same IMO. If i had to do it i think the contrast to matching the rads to outside case color would look good. thumb.gif

If I am correct that block is a swiftech apogee.

Alright guys, long time no see, huh?

Sorry, nothing much to do until a few days ago. I ordered the ASUS X99-M WS motherboard for this build. Features like the PS/2 connector, dual Ethernet, dual CPU power sockets, OC socket, build quality, PCIe slots, BIOS, debug LED, and stuff like that convinced me to get this board. The earliest I will be able to get it will be Thursday, so hopefully I can get it by then.

More pics soon.... wink.gif

This is some stuff for the case. I didn't get the front USB ports, so I'm gonna take the rear USB ports and I'm gonna run them under the case and connect peripherals to them/ the Ethernet cable is for my mining rig, so I can attach both Ethernet cables into the motherboard. The atx pin remover is, for, well, take a wild guess. And the GoPro sticker is for my helmet. More pictures soon, the case is gonna be here soon!
