Now that backwards compatibility has been approved for the Xbox one will you be buying one? Thought id start up a discussion and see what people think, since the common census seems to be that the one thing stopping people buying an xbox one was lack of backwards compatibility.

Is now the time to go out and buy all your old favourite 360 games for the xbox one, or do you think not al games will be supported?

Please use these question templates in you response!

1. Do you own and xbox one?

2. Will you be buying an xbox one now that it has backwards compatibility?

3. Which 360 games do you want to see playable on xbox one?

4. Will most, if not all 360 games be playable on the xbox one?

thanks!

Yea I have owned one since August last year. Bought on cowboom for 310, plus play n charge, plus XBL gold, plus Forza 5. (yea thats how they get you)

Biggest waste of money if you are a PC gamer. It's just not a powerful system at all. Freezes, super slow loading, long updates. To me it was a step backwards in the console world. The last gen consoles made a greater impact because their hardware was actually pushing the limit of gaming, it made sense to invest in one. Of course back then I DID NOT have a gaming PC. But now, its just a slow, cheap (rip off), bad computer.

Didn't need all those extra features microsoft. Just run well and play at 60 fps (lol) Destiny, GTA, Halo, and Forza are the only games ive played.

If i could go back I would still have the 360. Faster, better games, much cheaper.

Oh yea, and NEVER buy games digitally.

Forza 4 > Forza 5

PC GTA >>> Console GTA

60fps > 30fps

Witcher 3 PC >>>>>>>>>> XB1 W3

Anyone with a medium-high end gaming PC should not fall for the gimmick.

I noticed my PS3 (when I had it) complemented my PC the most, and I will trade my XB1 in for PS4 soon.

I got the Xbox one Halo Bundle with free Assassin Creed and 20 dollars off a year of Live.

Game I want backwards compatibility is Lost Odyssey... so I can finish the game once and for all.

Hmm I'm confused by your post. Why would you buy a xbox one over a pc? Xbox one games are dissimilar to pc games...

Honestly I bought one because of Destiny, Halo, and Forza. And friends with consoles : /

Little did i realize they took out cars for Forza 5, Destiny runs at 30fps, and Halo in no way plays the same as it once did.

They are not too dissimilar in that I use a XB1 controller for most single player PC games. Like Witcher 3, Far Cry 4, Fallout, Skyrim, and countless others.

I prefer the ergonomic feel of a controller on single player, non competitive titles.

I feel your pain.

I only use my controller as well for pc. And the xbox for netflix.

I realized that all games die quicker on console than on PC. whether its the graphics, mods, or whatever.

Now i bought Destiny, Halo, GTA, all digital. Now i can't trade them and havent touched em since last year. It's brutal.

yeahhhhh thats a great game!!!! I should honestly go buy a used copy

I just set my 360 up in my bed room and its awesome cause I lay down with my two year old and he watches me play kotor or mass effect. Lost odyssey would be another fun one to play and I wouldn't mind playing that on the big screen in my living room but even in the bed room that would be one to go back and finish. It was a very linear JRPG if I remember but great none the less. You had to grind a lot to catch up to the right level.

If you liked that, Last remenant was good, infinite undiscovery was another good RPG on the 360 as well. And dont forget about star ocean!

I'm considering it because of the new exclusives of the E3...

my xbox one is sitting as well I'm trying to get my son to plauy games on that instead of burning out my ps4 all day long.

but my xbox 360 on the other hand has been brought back to life and I dont mind playing a bit of nostalgia before bed rather then grinding through a boring xbox 1 exclusive in the lving room

Id only buy a Xbone if it supported all of my 360 games meaning if it is completely backwards compatible

The problem i see with console is they need updated almost every time you play a game and my Internet connection is way too slow so i get bored waiting or don't have enough time to play my games I just wan't to be able to play a game with out having to update it every time

1. Do I own a xbox one? NO

2. Will I be buying an xbox one now that it has backwards compatibility? NOT SURE, PS4 HAS MY ATTENTION

3. Which 360 games do I want to see playable on xbox one? GEARS OF WAR SERIES, ALL ROCKSTAR GAMES, & ALL FIGHTING GAMES THAT WILL NOT CONTINUE SERIES ON XBOX ONE

4. Will most, if not all 360 games be playable on the xbox one? I THINK ABOUT 40 TO 50% WILL BE PLAYABLE

I bought one when the Halo Collection came out.... BIGGEST $350.oo MISTAKE EVAR!!!

Game ran horribly and multiplayer was borked beyond belief... The system itself was sluggish and everything required a complete screen refresh to black that was annoying as hell... It seemed like every time I went to play a game there was either a 2gb system update that broke more things, a 2gb+ game update that took 3hrs to download or the controller would constantly desync even on brand new batteries.

I sold my XBONE for $300 and have never and will never look back.

If I want to play an old game I will use one of the three 360s I still have laying around.

I bought an Xbox One about a month after they came out. It would have been a nice selling point in the beginning. IF they let us know they were going to do this. I traded in or gave away all my Xbox 360 games since I got rid of the console. If I had known I woulda kept all my games.

1. Do you own and xbox one? I did, took it back. Slow, cumbersome UI and underwhelming overall.
2. Will you be buying an xbox one now that it has backwards compatibility? Never. BC is a step backwards and adds another excuse for devs to profit off of remakes.
3. Which 360 games do you want to see playable on xbox one? None
4. Will most, if not all 360 games be playable on the xbox one? I doubt it. I'd be shocked if COD did this and included multiplayer. They could be shooting themselves in the foot.

If there would be BC, there wouldn't be remakes or "remastered" versions. I could just play the previous generations games instead of having to rebuy, for example, the "Uncharted Collection" or God of War remastered.

Ive used the bc on the xbox and it works great so far. Is a little slow but it runs what feels like an emulator. Once you get into the game it runs great but it does take a little longer loading.

My xbone died so im currently looking at buying a new xbone. Had a ps4 and just wasnt happy that it took sony over a year to get basic programs/features that ms had since day 1.

It amazes me everytime i jump on overclock.net how some people think. Ive gamed on every platform. The most fun ive ever had was on xbox 360. It dosnt have to run at 60fps for you to have fun. If you only ever play games on a pc your not a true gamer. A gamer plays games on whatever platform they love games and if you truly wont buy a ps4/xbox because you want all games at 60fps or you think its hardware is garbage you are an elitist who is really only hurting yourself.

I had one already, but this does make me feel less like butt for investing in one.
