Thread Starter
I Have bought few .com and used web hosting for many years but I am still a newbie. I have tried godaddy and using namecheap now. I would like to discuss the web hosting price, hardware/bandwidth offer, and support service. What experience do you guys have?

Bump - I'm looking for a host as well. Old host (from years ago) doesn't seem to be in business anymore and I have been out of the loop for 5 years or so.

been using GoDaddy for several years now and very happy with them.

I am also using http://www.hosting24.com/ as I like the whole FTP thing as it can be setup as off site backup.

Support for both is very nice.

Godaddy provides very basic hosting but charges medium price range, while it pfovides no support ticket or email support, only phone and live chat support with really long waiting time, the live chat is off in non usa offical hours and not even let u queue if too busy.

I've utilized accuwebhosting for several sites that I've built and haven't had any real issues. Any problems I have had, they've been very helpful in getting the issues resolved. Pretty reasonably priced IMO as well. https://www.accuwebhosting.com/

I use mediatemple primarily, godaddy for GLTDS, and 1@1.com for $1 domains lol

I've used Arvixe for Windows hosting (they are ranked number 1 for windows hosting) and HostMonster and WebHostingHub for Linux hosting. I recommend each of them.

WebHostingHub, currently ranked number 2 for Linux hosting, is who I am currently with and have my client's on and I can't ask for better service. 100% up-time in the 3 years I have had them, based in the states with customer service you can understand and available 24/7. Pricing is excellent. I have a potential new client that will be bringing me in significant $$ and depending on which host platform I need I will use either Arvixe or WebHostingHub.

If you have a low traffic web site the web host hardly matters. Personally, I think dreamhost provides some of the best value. You can also pay for a cloud machine, such as an amazon client or what they offer at digital ocean, and then create your own server setup and host it yourself.

Right now I am using ipage, because they roped me into a deal and I only needed a website for a little bit. I would not recommend ipage. If and when I get around to doing it, I will probably be using digital ocean. So that is what I recommend, assuming you have the time and patience to configure your own server.
