Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming vs 980 ti reference - fps question.

Thread Starter
Hi. How much difference in fps are between Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming vs 980 ti reference ? I read on some review that even 10 fps. It can be real?

I can sell my 980 ti reference and buy Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming if it really is 10-15 fps difference.

The fps increase vary from game to game.
Also you can OC your current card and get the same fps. The G1 OCs slightly higher though.

Don't waste your money like that.

The G1 has better fps because it's factory overclocked.

You could get the same overclock on your reference Ti for free.

The G1 would probably have better overall overclock but I'd bet you could come pretty close with the one you have now.

I sold my reference and ordered a G1 today, I just couldn't deal with 83c and the loud fan noise at least with G1 if it's going to be as noisy as reference it will be cooler and will overclock better.

Of course my desicion was made easier because I bought the ti off cragilst from someone for $450 and sold it for $600, if the reference card say ran at 70c with 60% fan noise I would have kept it. But honestly if you don't care much about temps or noise you should keep your card and overclock it yourself.

Just ordered mine in the mail when I herd of people getting boost clock almost to 1500 mhz on this card and memory near 8 ghz I had to get one .. I know minimum overclock with the OC guru II software I can get is 1280 boost thats bold of gigabyte to give out such high overclocking from factory on these cards ... This card out performs the titan at those clocks or close tie for way less money ...
