Updated panel maybe?

No, I have not noticed any humming from both brands. However, my Plasma 500M I can hear a noticeable humming noise from the substained boards.

I'm planning on returning my UHD420 to get a 434K, are you able to give a kinda depth comparison between the two? It will impact which monitor I would likely get.

Colors and contrast is generally better go look up reviews.

But Sony's 43x830c has a better panel and has better white/black balance from what I've seen, you also can't use any adapter if you want chroma 4:4:4!

"Colors and contrast is generally better" do you mean the 434K? Not using any adapter.

1. Crossover 434K Final (C) is plastic left/right and aluminum up/bottom bezel.
Wasabi Mango UHD420 (U) is a whole aluminium bezel.

2. C: Separate power supply.
U: power supply is built-in.

3. C: 20W x 2 speakers with acceptable sound quailty.
U: 10W x 2 speakers with poor sound quality.

4. C: 3 x HDMI 2.0 + 2 x DP 1.2
U: 2 x HDMI 2.0 + 2 x HDMI 1.4a + 1 x DP 1.2

5. C: Good color reproduction with good black.
U: Good color reproduction with grey black and less details compared with C.

6. C: Made in China.
U: Made in Korea.

You are welcome. I would recommend either WM UHD430 or CO 434K Final.

I assume you will enjoy the same I/O and feature benefits, but nobody can be sure of it's IPS panel till it's tested first hand. honestly, had I not gotten a special secret deal on the 494K I probably would be buying the 434K now too... 49" is a bit much for most desktops, but now that I have it adjusted to suit my tastes and needs, I'm glad I have it instead. for me a 49" also fits well in my living room wall unit to double as a entertainment system display which is currently hosting a 20yo 32" tube TV set. as for neck issued while using a 49", despite owning a hutch and various VESA arms, I simply put the feet on and planted my panel low on my desk so my head remains centered vertically while reading it. also, you have to consider a 49" like a big canvas you can paint multiple windows where they are easiest to read - there's no need to fill screen anything. I even watch videos in a 1080p x1.5 window instead of full screen, so I can still have side gutters to monitor other things.

How about the Microboard T550 55" 4K monitor compared to the Crossover? Same panel?

I don't know - buy one and let use know. most seem to be based on the similar subpar LG panels. there are threads here on OC for microboard, and other 55" from crossover and wasabi mango. besides the usual ports and such, you may want to make sure whichever one you pick offers freesync firmware support, actual hdcp 2.2 not the older 1.4, and i remember reading that one of the 55" may include passive 3D support (by full screen interlacing a double rendering of a one 1080p video) have fun doing your own research - good luck.
