Can someone tell me if the 434K overclockable? The ad on Dream-Sellers page states it's overclockable, but I've not seen a single post about this.

Also, how's the Freesync working these days?

no 4K will OC without skipping frames at any resolution - period.

resellers are idiots who will get a panel to 75Hz then neglect to check if it's frame skipping.

freesync can make a noticeable difference but only between 42-60 FPS over any 4K panel.

Thanks for getting back to me and letting me know. How severe is the frame skipping? I'm guessing it's enough to make you just forget about overclocking and using it?

Also, I've heard there's a mod you can do to the freesync, to allow you to get it to operate at around 30hz-60hz. Someone linked to this in another forum, any idea if it works for the 434k?

Hmm, normally I'd be all over the Crossover but as per the first page I'm not thinking it's worth the risk. Have had mostly successful purchasers from Crossover before (all 27" 1440's) but think the WM UH430 might be a better bet.

What do you guys reckon? Coming from a Dell U3415W, and was seriously tempted by the Phillips 40 VA panel when I got Dell in 2014.

Wish the AU dollar wasn't so crap atm, then I wouldn't mind taking a punt =)

I would not trust Crossover with any new 4K purchases.

they marketed the 494K to include HDCP 2.2 support,
it shipped with HDCP 1.4 support, and 7 months later continues to ship as HDCP 1.4
7 months ago they promised to provide a fix, then 3 months ago they reasserted this
now they continue to sell 494k's marketed at HDCP 1.4
if they had a 2.2 fix already, it would be built into some new "final" 494K
but alas, no such product exists.

Crossover jerks international customers around till after 6 months when you
can no longer do anything about them screwing you through ebay or paypal,
while Korea based buyers have returned them long ago and bought something else.

It may sound like I'm posting bias - but everything I wrote is 100% true.

For gaming, they have similar performance. However, they don't have official AdobeRGB support.

Are these truly 10 bit panels? And what else do you need for actual 10bit experience? Are regular Nvidia cards 10 bit supported?
