Thanks. My Dell2711 shows 10 bit with 8bit + FRC. Thats why I feel confused. This monitor still gets some bugs. When I connect my minipc with DP and then turn on my set-top box with HDMI, my 434KF will mute the internal speaker until turning it off and on again.

I would not put too much faith in that program. on my 494K it displays the wrong manufacture year, wrong screen diameter, no serial number and 10bit instead of 8bit+FRC, and that's just what's obvious.

Hi spypet, how's your 494 going? Any good news from Crossover to support international user?

Well, I don't know how I did it, but when cleaning up my desk today I've managed to gouge a scratch down the side of the screen. It's not super noticeable, but with the other issue, I've pretty much rendered the thing unsellable now.

Anyone taken the film of these monitors?

wally, i noticed this film sensitivity on day one: http://imgur.com/Nv87REo

bmouse, all inquiries go ignored. reseller is polite, but offers no solution.
this is why i advocate avoiding this crossover brand altogether.
they delegate all customer support to their resellers,
then leave resellers unable to do anything for you.

4K buyers need to clearly realize that hdcp 2.2 capability is critical
if you ever hope to use a 2K:4K upscale or 4K streaming device.
even my 3yo roku3 4200 was updated with 4K hdcp 2.2 support.
http://i.imgur.com/MUpqhrv.jpg (for upscale rendering, not streaming)
and I can't input anything 4K on it because crossover english marketed to us,
then cheated its early adopters out of HDCP 2.2, and now left us high and dry.

so the only way i can watch 4k on my 494k is from my PC through the DP port.

I actually wish the likes of Dell or someone would starting selling something similar to this. Yeah, it'll be more expensive, but not having to muck about with the pixel lottery would be great.

Monitor continues to be flicker free, fwiw.

I could never get free sync working on my 494k. I'm not sure it actually works on the crossovers. I've seen different reports of free sync not working, none actually confirming it works.

free sync would only be noticeable from 44-60fps, so it's not really much of a selling point on these panels.
You are right, spypet. 44 - 60fps freesync is not much difference but better than nothing. How come Crossover not to replace PCB for international users? I would request either the seller or Crossover to send me the PCB for my own replacement if I were you.

It's actually 40-60hz range unmodded. You might think that, but it is by far my favorite feature of my wasabi mango uhd490 (r9 fury x crossfire/4930k@4.6)

After coming from a crossover 494k to a uhd490 I'm astonished people still buy these crossovers. They should honestly just take them off the market. It's like a joke when I compared it to the uhd490
