The front acrylic is 5 mm thick:) The actual LED strip is 5.2 mm wide though, so I had to laser engrave a grove into the black pieces that holds it together for it to be a perfect fit.

Haha yeah, started out on reddit.com/r/videos, and just took off from there. It has settled down to normal view rate now though. But easily beating my old Project N.V. video. I expected it to get a few hundred thousand views, but not this much:D

Thanks for getting back, yes the LED strip. What thickness cut in the acrylic to fit these in.

Ahh then I misunderstood you. They are 3 mm. We are thinking about making a "kit" with this front light feature, but the RGB strips are just a tad expensive each coming in at 16 euro a piece. So that is 32 euro for the lights alone, and then a special accent pack on top of that.

Thats a good idea. But why would you want a RGB kit if you are lighting that colour accent up, surely just a white kit will be enough.

Hah sorry, I do not know why I wrote RGB strip... I meant LED strip.

These are just the hard strips that I have found that fitted best, as the most other models are much wider, and will not fit in between the 5 mm layer of acrylic.

Yes the darkside strips seem to be really good. thumb.gif
