Don't look like much of anything new.

After updating to win10, ccc isn't showing up in context menu, and can't run by going into application folder and clicking the application. Had to reinstall it.

Also just got an BSOD. Obviously can't definitively connect to CCC.

Batman: Arkhan Knight now has some absurd low FPS when moving around.

I'd say there are something awaiting fixes.

The driver version went from 1046 (15.7) or 1046.2(WU driver) to 1062.1002(15.7.1).
It's based on the 1062 driver (21-7 Build) without a software package that was leaked yesterday or the day before.

I just installed the 15.7.1 driver and so far with Firestrike, API overhead and Witcher 3 the 1046.2 from WU is slightly better. I still need to run a few more games to be sure.

Well, I always had a feeling that people were getting a drop on me consistently as if my shots weren't registering in time. Time to install this driver and get out of Gold Nova Master.

If you have any issues with the new driver, it's not difficult to make similar alterations to FlipQueueSize manually.

Breh, you might as well be speaking Chinese to me. I really don't know what that means.

Looking forward to your results. Ive noticed a better fps range in Witcher 3 since installing 15.7.1. It could be a placebo though.

That might explain why I always end up 'Q' switching after an AWP/Scout scope without actually firing. So annoying.

Do I have to use RadeonPro to edit that setting? I really don't like using it.

I always Uninstall the previous driver..then start DDU which takes me to safe mode, get rid of it there as well. Reboot and install new driver. Its better to start fresh, avoid any headaches.

Well... that would explain the occasional GTAV crash, and the Frame Rate Control not working for me.

Holy cow I just saw something in my CCC that I have not seen in 5 months. The OverDrive tab. I did a Catalyst Install Manager uninstall, followed BradleyW's guide, DDUed for redundancy, installed this driver and everything went smoothly. Will report back after playing some CS:GO.

Haven't installed this on my main rig with my actual decent hardware due to waiting for win10 to mature a few months. However, I've installed this on my laptop with a A8 6410 APU and it seems to be fine for me so far.

#21 ·
Whats the verdict on these then?

#22 ·
Well at least for CS:GO it does appear to have improved my shot registration but I didn't get very much of a chance to try it out at length other than a quick 30 minute casual match. Still need to try it further.

The only change to CS:GA in these drivers seems to have been to FlipQueueSize (aka # frames render ahead, or context queue depth).

D3D's default queue depth is three. This lets the system prepare up to three frames before they are displayed, to act as a buffer. This tends to increase performance slightly. The downside is that you can have up to three extra frames of input latency, which can be significant in fast paced titles.

Personally, I manually limit my FlipQueueSize to 1 frame (0 isn't possible on most modern setups). On NVIDIA you can do this from the driver control panel, but with AMD GPUs you either need to use a 3rd party utility like RadeonPro, or you need to manually insert an entry into the registry.

For example, this is what I use:

Code:

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000\UMD]
"FlipQueueSize"=hex:31,00
The "0000" will sometimes be different, in which case you'd have to match it to the ID assigned to your GPU.

You can either navigate to this location and add a new binary value manually. Or you could copy the above and paste it into notepad, save the file as a .reg then double click on it to add it to the registry.

Thanks Blameless, I appreciate that.

Anyone having issues with crossfire with these drivers? GTAV seems to turn into a flicker fest after an hour of playing and when crossfire is enabled I have to sit through a 2 minute black screen before the windows login menu shows up

Guesses?
I had the same problem but just ended up uninstalling the driver with Display Driver Uninstaller
