Photo printing advice

Is there a free program out there that allows you to print in any physical size you want based on what size paper you choose? For example, right now I'm using canon's basic Easy-Photoprint EX but it only allows for certain sizes and ratios.

For example, for A3+and A3, it only allows for borderless or bordered printing and I can't even choose border size which means with a border, I can't choose the size of the image.

For 8.5x11 Letter, it allows for the same as above plus 5x7 and 8x10, Again for bordered full page prints, I can't choose the actual size of the print since I can't change the border width.

Is there anything that allows for me to choose exactly what size I want to print in? For example if I wanted to print a 10x10 or if I wanted to place an exact 1" border on all sides. Thanks for looking!

Adobe Acrobat can do this, it depends somewhat on the printer drivers as well.

What printer are you using?

Hello. Thank you so much for your reply. I am using the Canon Pro-10 and I'm looking to make art prints but currently I don't have too many choices on size, especially print sizes with a border. Borderless printing is easier since it's simply the size of the paper.

That's a very nice printer, give Acrobat a shot or if you can spend a little adobe has a photo bundle with photoshop and light room for pretty reasonable, or get a cs5 license on ebay or something orrr other means heh

I can help you with any Acrobat or photoshop settings if you want. I used to use Prograf 5100s and 6100s we had a pro10 as well, I liked it a lot

Do you have your photos up on a website? Id like to check them out

The main reason is I recently started trying to make Tshirts of my design and art prints as well under the name LiifHappens.
The items I have so far are on etsy but for a larger view of some of my photos, I'm also on Deviantart. Just search LiifHappens

I don't know the rules for linking to anything especially a store so I'll just refrain from doing so.

You have a very nice eye for composition. As far as the rules I don't see how that would be any different than posting a newegg link, self promotion I guess? Its never bothered me but I suppose im not the one in charge heh

I just opened Ps to show you the settings, make sure its set to photoshop manages the colors, the profile depends on the paper you use and you should be able to download the ICC profiles from the websites. Example: http://www.redrivercatalog.com/profiles/inkjet-printer-color-icc-profiles-red-river-paper.html
Btw Red Rivers Polar Luster and Ultra Pro Satin are super nice, Ive also had good luck with Canon Pro Semi Gloss.

The ICC profiles are extremely important.

As far as sizing there is the little box you can drag it about, or enter the numbers manually if you wish, you can also add cut marks if you want to trim it to a different aspect ratio or something.

Ok so the best bet would be to purchase photoshop? I'll probabaly have to stick with my limited options right now until I save up some money
