During the company's latest investor call, the company's CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed that a new Battlefield shooter would be making its way onto consoles come 2016. This was in response to a question asked about future core titles in which Jorgensen basically confirmed that a Battlefield game for 2016 was planned.
Hardline is a COD clone/propaganda-ware that I won't be playing. Just bought BF4 finally and I am thoroughly unimpressed, besides the sounds, they're amazing. After these last two let downs, I'm going to say the Battlefield franchise is finished. BF2, BFBC2 were the last good Battlefield games. The rest shouldn't even be called Battlefield.
Speaking as an old massive BF fan, seeing how EA/DICE screws the title over.. I can't recommend anyone to even consider buying this before reading both reviews and what actual people say. They have no shame and only wants to milk your wallet more.
But I could be wrong and this will be the greatest BF ever, however got some very strong doubts about that...
This kind of interests me as it puts more emphasis on skill given how truly awful the guns were back then. They were relatively inaccurate unless you had a very long barrel (which screwed with you weilding the gun) and didn't have clips, just chambers, bar the mounted gatling which was more or less attached to coaches and other hardpoints.
My conditions to buy the title are as follows
1) A campaign that doesn't reek of jingoistic nonsense.
2) No more than $60 for the base game.
3) If battlepacks are to be used, they should only be cosmetic+other non gameplay impacting elements. I refuse to support p2w and will boycott any company who uses a true p2w model on a non-f2p game.
4) Guns must be historically accurate, from their range to their accuracy.
5) There must be a mexican standoff with real mexicans.
I used to say this all the time, but with the SW:BF fiasco I realized that all they would do is claim "re-imagining" so they can take a big ole gravely morning coffee dump on the franchise in an attempt to get a quick easy buck from fans.
as for OP, they need to go farther back in time. Battlefield: Dino Riders (prehistoric?), perhaps? Sticks and stones will break many bones. And it can include dinosaurs.
Have not played real BF since BF3 so hope this is good and next gen.
