Have you missed a dose today? Windows is more secure now than it's ever been, and by forcing updates, it'll only become more secure in the future.

There's no point in having watchtowers, armed guards, and barbed wire fences to protect from outside intruders when the intruders come from within.

MS is supposed to protect it's users from data mining and malware, not join in on it.

I'm not sure you really understand how personalised services work, and the market has dictated that they want software personalisation.

Don't like it, don't use Windows?

Are all these complaints just against the default settings?

When I installed Windows 10 there was a page asking if I wanted to send all of this data to MS and I turned them all off, cortana is turned off as well. Are people claiming that with all the stuff disabled MS is still sending the information?

Yeah. Hence the tinfoil hat. And also hence the surprisingly large amount of users, and even more surprisingly on OCN of all places, that are too lazy to actually take 5-10 minutes configuring their Windows installation.

Hasn't there been like a dozen threads about this over the last week already?

The only "News" here is that the guys at Extremetech took so long to figure out how copy + paste worked.

You got everything backasswards which doesn't surprise me. This "personalization" as you call it was not dictated by the market it was dictated on the market and universally accepted by privacy and liberty hating people like you.
