I am new here. But not new to forums. I am a member of Computerforums.org.
I figured this was a better place for the question.
I am trying to overclock my monitor. I have never tried overclocking a monitor before.
It's a Asus BP278Q. It's an IPS 1440p monitor running at 60hz.
I would like it to run at 70 if that's possible, but so far i haven't had good results.
I am using Nvidias control panel to apply a custom resolution. (as you properly know, you can also set the refresh rate there)
Problem is that if i just as much as increase it by 2hz!!! it starts skipping frames. Why is that?
The monitor doesn't blur or make any weird colors. So it looks stable enough. It's just this frame skipping that's the problem
Any ideas?
btw. It's connected with dual link DVI if that matters.
