6700K lottery winners? - Page 29

75 to 45 is still pretty damn impressive

for comparisons like that, it's best to use delta over ambient

so a 45c core temp would be 25c delta over 20c ambient temps, while a 75c core temp would be 55c delta over ambient

my watercooling system is as good as it gets. GTX480 nemesis, 8 AP-30s with PWM mod, ek supremacy EVO. just for CPU

temps arent whats prohibiting 4.9 its voltage

like I said scaling past 4.7 is terible. it's nearly .1v+ per 100mhz at that point

one of my chips was peaking at 63c for 4.8 and still wouldn't do 4.9. when max core temp is supposed to be 83c.

temps werent issue it wanted more than 1.46v

and I don't feel comfortable giving it more than that on water. Especially when I have a phase not 5feet from me.

why risk degradation.. But once you bring phase into this your initial voltage@freq means nothing
1.47v does 5.2ghz like its nothing

hm interesting. I hoped for better scaling.
Then all I say is that I'm glad that I still have my chip and haven't moved to Z170. wink.gif

Anyway, how many 4.8G chips have you bought from SL ?
What are the results with them on water/single phase ?

I bought chips from overseas that were binned based on 5+ghz performance
all do 4.8 under 1.42 1hr though

like I said I have more chips to test. I am a week behind since I got sick.

(1)my 1.35v @ 4.8ghz is at SL getting delidded
(2)my other chip showed up yesterday(needs delidded and realbench tested but its 5ghz @ 1.42) and the other (3) just got shipped(VID 1.2v
5ghz boot @ 1.385v
5.1ghz boot @ 1.455v
CB15 49@1.385v)
(4)my other one that is delidded did 5ghz at 1.41 r15 predelid and I haven't tested it enough yet. just played with it for a half hour last night.
(5)5ghz @ 1.46boot
(6)4.8@ 1.42v

I think I have a setting in bios keeping me from 5.4

That's a lot of awesome chips smile.gif
I'm thrilled to see the final results.
