Dang, you knocked off the PCIe retention clip? That's a bummer, it wont affect performance though so you'll be OK

I like the carbon fiber idea, as well. Aren't you worried that just normal use will scratch/peel it away over time?

What are you doing with the VRM heatsinks? Painting them, or what?

I like the cooling idea. I'm assuming the white stuff around the socket is insulation?

Also, could you please add more pictures of the CAD file you created? I am interested in building something like this in the future and would like to use your files as inspiration.

The VRM and southbridge were cooled by a waterblock. They have been since removed due to leaking fittings. The stuff around the socket is eraser to insulate the CPU.

As for the CAD file, I had a data failure recently and I lost the files. I can provide the measurements for all of the pieces though and draw plans.

The carbon fiber is going to be covered with glass or is going to be on the inside, its vinyl so its not going to have a gloss.
