[Official] ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS Owner's thread - Page 42

Hi to all

I'm interested to buying this configuration:
1x Asus Z10PE D8 WS (or D16 WS)
2x Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2650 v4 (30M Cache, 2.20 GHz)
4x 16 GB Kingston DIMM DDR4-2400 MHz ECC/REC (or 8x 16GB)

The Asus board supports the new V4 processors and the model E5-2650 V4 and the memories DDR4 KVR24R17D4/16 at 2400 MHz. It's correct?
The Intel Xeon E5-2650 V4 processors support DDR4 memory at 2400 MHz frequency.

My question is: the ram DDR4, the Xeon processor and Asus mother board will operate at 2400 MHz frequency? Why I see many screenshot of bios of this mother board with memories operating at 1866 MHz or less?

Thanks

Hello,

Normally all E5-xxxxV4 supports 2400mhz, but in my memories the motherboard as a limitation of 2133mhz of DDR4 (may be overclokable?).
I doubt you would see a difference between 2133 and 2400mhz.

[EDIT] Almost forgot, my MoBo temperature seems completly wrong as it says constant 103°C (today is 105°C).
I assume that the sensor is dead ? Where is it ? Is it normal for a 600$ card ? Can we replace it ? Should I put my case in my kitchen and fry some eggs on my motherboard ? Wow...so many questions in my head...

I have broadwell cpus and the ram is running at 2400Mhz. There's no limitations on ram clocks from the board. The cpu determines the max frequency the ram runs at

Okok, I'll try with another software maybe... Do you get this value with CPUID HWMonitor ?
Speedfan isn't working for me.

For the memory limiations of the board : 8 x DIMM, Max. 512GB, DDR4 2400

Thanks for your reply Heratic, it's important yuor experience for me.

And in this case, with memory at 2133 Mhz in the D16 motherboard, why the frequency is 1066 Mhz?

Um 1066Mhz is 2133Mhz double data rate. Times it by 2. 2400Mhz would be 1200Mhz

And you have this parameter of frequency at 2400Mhz or 1200Mhz?

With Corsair Link I read 5 board temperature :
MB Temp#1 = 103°C
MB Temp#2 = 95°C
MB Temp#3 = 40°C
MB Temp#4 = 41°C
MB Temp#5 = 47°C

If we assume the two firsts are wrong, those are correct values ?

It is possible to know the compatibility of the mother board Asus Z10PE D8 WS with DDR4 at 2400Mhz and E5-26XX V4 processor through the product serial number?

Before purchasing the product I would be sure.

(I have the serial number)
