The Witcher 2 benchmark on SteamOS & Windows (updated)

Impressive how far this has come now , this is using the Eon wrapper fromVP for virtual gaming using DX11 on Linux. At times its the same speed as native, sometimes faster. Considering its a kind of emulation and knowing how much that usual crimps performance.

This technology in theory could be applied to any dx10/11 windows port and give similar performance with a negligible percent loss.

VP are adding their updates to games they have ported already.

I hope SteamOs will help Linux in general and not make it more complicated or become go to Linux variant for when devs make games for Linux. Can you imagine when devs finally make more aaa games, with vulkan, that they go based on SteamOs instead of Ubuntu? And by then maybe Steam has modified "their" os so that games wont work well or at all on Ubuntu. As you know with companies they value drm, dirty dlc practices and watering down games out of greed rather their customers/fans. Not all companies thou g.
