Is it possible to somehow unlock the PH67-DS3 B3 Mobo to Overclock i5 2500k? so far i have only been able to overlock to x37 (3,7ghz) and that were it stops and im not able to go any further.
i was talking with a friend about overclocking it and he was saying it should be able to be unlocked, is it possible? and if, how?
Thanks for the help!
Ps. I dont know if this were the right place to post this but i didnt find anywhere else.
Pretty sure I remember that being the case as well, but I could be mistaken.
To the original poster: your CPU is unlocked, but your mobo is not. You could try to find a cheap used p67 or z68 mobo somewhere, or just come to terms with the fact that your CPU is living the easy life and will probably last till the end of time.
I tried to Install EasyTune6 but Got "Open driver Handle Failure!!" and "DLL function call crashed: CheckFK.searchBIOSStr" anyone knows what's this about? and if it's possbile to fix?
so i will be able to overclock over x37? i was looking at the guide you sent earlier and it did not mention how to "unlock" so i can overclock above x37 (3.7Ghz), So if thats possible, how?
And what would be the easiest way to overclock w/o any softwares? as i am relatively new to this

And also according to the guide which is linked here, they are talking about overclocking WITH software. Was it possible to overclock this mobo w/o any software?
You're right... they need to fix their typos.

Since this is stated above it confuses me even more, and if this is the case, if i have P67 chipset (even that the name is PH67) then i would like to know what softwares i should use to unlock and overclock with.
Thanks for the help so far.
