How about the BIC F12? I think it usually sits around $200. Sales as low as $150, once in a while it drops to $175ish.

No, you can use powered or un-powered. If un-powered you have to power it with something.

Both of those subs you posted are powered(active).

You do not want a passive sub.

Unless you are willing to dump a lot of money into a proper setup.

I'm slightly biased towards my setup at the moment as well due to my PC area really being a struggle for any space I can get at the moment so the thought of larger speakers & an amp is a bit off putting for me currently.

On a side note, how are those monoprice subs? I use tons of monoprice gear and have been happy with it especially for the price but I haven't touched their audio yet. Heard their bookshelf and subs were pretty decent and was actually looking at them before I picked up my z623's on the cheap.

I have my bookshelf speakers on stands, as there is no space on my desk for them. But I have full size bookshelf speakers, those micca's are tiny in comparison. I'm also using a huge amp, not something that can fit under a monitor like some of those t-amps.

I've never used the Monoprice subs TBH, but probably are OK. They are pretty cheap. I would rather jump up to the Dayton Sub800 or better though. I have the Dayton Sub800 on my desktop, works great. Not too big. Sound quality is great, blends it very well.

any good subwoofer to recommend ? you always pick the top tiers good ones for the price range. I would choose dayton sub nearly instantly but sadly there is no Dayton in My country, shipping it back would be too expensive since it weights at least 12 kg frown.gif
