Give it a little time, maybe you have picked up a crappy unit rolleyes.gif. Are you running at stock speeds to begin with?

I would talk @bigblock990 about drivers for the 980Ti in Linux. I use the older 346.59 for my 980.
I am not sure what drivers to recommend for Windows.
Thanks for all of the responses! I think it is a driver issue. mad.gif Somehow the WU it was working on disappeared after a reboot. Quite odd. I'm trying to do all of this remotely while I'm at work...

Grr... Well, hopefully once I install the older driver it'll pick up a better unit.

I'm not sure what I'l be able to contribute during this F@T. I can't fold non-stop on my GPU due to heat and poor performance, and I won't be able to get much through NaCl. On the other hand, I can fold more consistently on NaCl and I won't have to worry about forgetting to resume folding (I can just set it to a low priority).

Maybe I should fire up my laptop for the couple k it'll give me (I'm a bit hesitant to use my tablet for that).

980ti in Linux - 346.96

346.96 will also work for 970/980. I get the same PPD out of my second 970 using 346.96 as when I had it on 346.59

I know that 352.30 decreases PPD by ~45k on 970. I haven't tried anything newer yet, since 346 work so well, which is definitely credited to @lanofsong

Also I have no idea for drivers in windows, but I know @hertz9753 and @4thKor both have 980ti folders in windows.

I have one rig with 346.59 per his recommendation, and one with 346.96 which I needed to recognize 980ti. 346.96 works equally as good. I gained ~45k ppd by switching from 352.30 to 346.59 on gtx 970.

Cool, thanks! My 970's have been on 346.96 but my 980 was on the latest. I downgraded it to 346.96 and hope to see some improvement, but I lost overclocking ability in nvidia-settings for some reason (Coolbits set to 12).

Mostly because if I come back, I don't want to wait on the monitor to turn on, my train of thought is more important. I am forgetful, so even I know I am leaving, I am likely to forget as I have gotten used to the setting. I have a BenQ with these horrible touch buttons that don't always react.

Basically, I love the setting that turns my monitor off for me and I don't want to adjust to anything else.

Good luck everyone. I'm sick and it feels like I am dying, so I'll probably sit here and watch my folding number go up.

I am kind of just assuming I am in the ranks somewhere with my 980 Ti. lol
