I was joking, and my apologies. Stanford as in the past, still seems to have problems from time to time. For people like me, it's exasperating. Always has been. Getting back into folding, just brings up all those old bad memories. My bad, no more negative talk from me. I'll just fold, and keep my opinions to myself.
I realize that posting on their forums and ours is in the current playbook. But posting on the Stanford forums, does not do anything, really. IMHO. Most of those folks are flakes, or at least that was "my" opinion back several years ago. There were a few helpful, friendly souls, but.... As hertz stated, I guess they still are. It's like trying to get to the President, with all of those people around him.
Sending an E-mail directly to Pande, might do something. When OCN first got into the Chimp Challenge back in '09 (I think) knitelife a member here, told Pande about the up coming competition with several web sites involved. More than in the past. The first Chimp Challenge competitions were just between [H] the herd, Overclockers.com and Maximum. We here at OCN, the Aussies, EVGA, and Russians butted in.
He (Pande) thank all of the folders, back then; and committed to making sure the servers and WU's would be available. Maintenance of their stuff, would be announced or held off. The Chimp challenge was always held end of April, early May time frame. At that time, Stanford, students and the labs were winding down for summer. So that communication seemed necessary. Times have changed, so I'll keep my mouth shut.
