Nixeus NX-VUE24A & NX-VUE24B FreeSync Gaming Monitor - AMD FreeSync Certified 30Hz to 144Hz (Adaptive-Sync) - Page 11

I need some help guys! I want to buy this Nixeus And an AMD RX 480 this week so I can have some fun with team Red.

What's your honest opinion with this monitor and AMD-Sync in general? I've used a few G-sync monitors and I can take it or leave it. But I'm all about the HZ and 1080p. I know our fellow OCN member Peter represents Nixeus so any unbiased feedback from him would certainly be appreciated as well.

Thanks guys! I'm really looking forward to moving on back to a Radeon card for the foreseeable future but ultimately if I should stay put, just say so with a good argument as to why. thumb.gif

Thanks!

I cannot speak for the Nixeus monitor specifically, but when freesync worked on my G2460PF it was always a fluid experience at both low and high frame rates. The RX 480 should be around R9 290(x)/390(x) levels, which is good enough to make use of both 144hz and freesync in almost all cases.

I ordered one this morning on Amazon. It seems pretty solid especially for the current price. Worse case scenario I have to return it. Prime FTW!

I'll be ordering mine sometime this week. Sadly my prime trial ran out on the 24th, and it costs $31 to have it shipped in the same amount of time without prime. Good thing I can just use free shipping which takes about a week but hey, free is free.

Update me with a mini-review once you get it biggrin.gif

Get it while its hot $200 + $15 shipping, lowest i've seen it me thinks.

Based off what I researched - the Nixeus Vue 24" FreeSync Monitor is still the only 24" monitor with an AMD FreeSync Certified Range of 30hz to 144Hz. Reviewers and owners have stated it works out of the box with no need for monitor drivers and firmware updates. Over Drive has been working with FreeSync for the full 30Hz to 144Hz range since the first day it shipped and AMD even referenced the Nixeus 24" monitor when media asked them about FreeSync Range + Over Drive issues tthat other earlier Freesync monitors had = Nixeus got everything working right since it was announced and shipped. Some people, including myself, are surprised Nixeus was able to do it since they are not as big as the other monitor brands in the market.. drool.gifph34r-smiley.gifthumbsupsmiley.png

It's definitely a good deal if you can wait a month for massdrop to get it shipped to you. I've never used massdrop, but I've heard that's how they work.

Pretty much what I'm currently looking in to and should make my final decision by the end of July. I want a decent 1080p 24" incher coupled with AMD Free-sync, to get the best out of my RX 480 wink.gif

As it stands right now the most appealing products with those features are the following:

Nixeus NX-VUE24A /B: http://www.nixeus.com/product/nixeus-vue-24/

Acer XF240H: http://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/model/UM.FX0EE.001

Asus MG248Q: https://www.asus.com/Monitors/MG248Q/

ViewSonic VX2457-mhd: http://www.viewsoniceurope.com/eu/products/lcd/VX2457-mhd.php

AOC G2460PF: http://aoc-europe.com/en/products/g2460pf

The AOC seems to be getting a pretty bad rep lately due to subpar color quality. The rest are all pretty much in the same price/quality range. The Asus model seems to be getting the best reviews. All monitors are currently available in Europe except the NX-VUE24 which is only available on Amazon.uk and does not ship outside of UK. When can we see wide availability throughout EU shops as well?

The color quality wasn't as bad as people make it out to be IMO. I owned one but requested a refund since freesync had major issues, and overdrive was disabled at 144hz. AOC US hasn't even been aware that it wasn't working until recently, while AOC UK recalled the monitors last year and fixed them.

Regardless, it still doesn't give me that 100% trust in their monitors as I would have with Asus or Viewsonic, which by the way I forgot, they also have this XG2401 model, which fits nicely with the 1080p freesync requirements: http://gaming.viewsonic.com/XG2401/#specs
