I am very interested in buying the Mastercase Pro 5, but I am concerned that my cooler may not fit. Is the case able to hold a top-mounted Swiftech H220-X? I have asked several forums and both Coolermaster and Swiftech, but I am yet to receive a definitive answer either way. Please help.

Thanks,

It should fit, would definitely have to remove the cd/dvd tray bc of the res. I don't have one to see but if you had measurements(beginning of rad to end of res & the height/width of the res itself) one of us could check 😊

Okay... Well removing the 2X 5.25" bays is really not an option for me. Will it fit without removing the bays?
Specifications: http://www.swiftech.com/H220-X.aspx#tab2 (bottom of the page)

ok so i measured it and actually slapped my disk tray back in to check. You'll have 3.2cm of play room length wise. Width is fine also, only thing that im not certain of would be the dimension of the res to ram, that would be the only issue i see.

Edit: it will fit, im just unsure about the back side of the res & how close to the ram it would be headscratch.gif
I know when i was doing push pull on my h100i gtx my bottom fans come pretty close to my ram & the swift you have is only .1mm wider than mine. So maybe someone else in here would be able to chime in on the subject

Thank you for your help. thumb.gif Just to double check, you did measure with the Pro variant with populated 5.25" bays, correct?

I am planning to use the ASUS ROG Hero VIII which has pretty high ram slots. jealoussmiley.gif

Considering your findings, I think that I will go ahead and buy the H220-X. I figure that it should fit and worse case scenario, if not, it is close enough that I will be able to make the squeeze.

Thanks again!!smile.gifsmile.gif

Yep I'm using the Pro 😊. Sounds good let us know how it fits when you get it all together, looks like it's gonna be a fun build.

On second thought, do you think EK Waterblock's Predator 240 will fit better? They are quite a bit more $$$ than the H220-X's, however they have marginally better performance and are much quieter.

I partnered with the CM team regarding the EK Predator fitting on the top radiator support.  It can fit, but it will be very very tight.

There is one problem... That hole on the top is 290mm (someone measure it for me), when predator unit is 295mm.

Someone just need fit it there and let us know. Predator 240 will come to me tomorrow, but i dont have mastercase 5 pro.

Maby CM can send me one for some test/review ? rolleyes.gifbiggrin.gif

Last time I measured the bracket up top I'm pretty sure it was 295mm, I'll measure again tonight when I get back home from work.

Someone measured it for me and bracket is 300mm, but hole on the top of frame is 290mm. You can do that again of course.

Remember that pump cant touch frame for sure so... for me just someone need to fit it there and after that we will know for sure.
