Cooler Master's stores and parts selection are haphazard at best. I am surprised there is this much disparity between EU, AsiaPac and NA. And their selection of replacement parts almost points to little or no thought was ever given to the selections per region.

As I mentioned, I want to MasterCase Maker I/O pod with a MasterCase faceplate. That shouldn't be too hard, especially for those of us that do not want to change out the entire front of their cases.

Have to agree, the selection of parts here in the states is abysmal, the case has been out for long time yet there is almost nothing to buy if you want to customize it.

I'm just going to go out and say it... when is the mastercase maker front panel going to be available to buy for every single mc5 owner (cause the standard front grill sucks so bad)?

It's not an any of the stores to pre order yet. However it is visble on every single "maker made" picture ever taken. Thanks for teasing us and not delivering!

Seriously now, it's the last piece I need before my build can be considered "finished"...

Worst case launch and hype ever.

Imagine this product was pushed a whole year ago with many promises, and they are still lacking in many.

I hope you will wait less time than us because at the moment no news of this panel

The I/O panel of the MasterCase Maker 5 is a bit smaller compared to the original MasterCase 5 I/O panel. It will fit, but you have some room left over.
In order to change or upgrade to Maker front panel, you ideally need to purchase:
- front bezel
- door
- new I/O panel
Optional: LED & Fan controller PCB panel (Which is located behind M/B tray)

I really hope CM will have the mind to make a I/O pannel that fits the MasterCase / Pro 5 instead of making people paying 100++ $ for this upgrade

...snipped for brevity...

Here is what you are not understanding. There should be no need for all those parts. The pod behind the I/O panel is not smaller, just the faceplate itself. If they just offer the pod (only 4 small screws hold it in place to the front section It will fit within the existing housing. The all you need is the plastic faceplate, which is attached with double-sided tape. If they don't want to sell the faceplate, no big deal as I have already modeled the faceplate in a 3D CAD program (see Post# 511) and I can either print one myself, or use a service like Shapeways, i.materialize, Ponoko or any of the others that have sprung up in recent years. That way I can use my existing stuff including LED/FAN controller and the like, but at the same time reap the benefits of more I/O ports.

Here is the pod for the Mastercase, it is available as a spare part in the EU store for 15 Euros (not in any other store).

Unfortunately there is no equivalent part for the Mastercase Maker. That is what I want separately. I can't really 'Make it Mine' if the parts aren't available. the I/O panel you refer to is made in three parts and the actual faceplate is a separate piece, even though Cooler Master has chosen to bundle them all as one item.

Hello everyone!

I'm currently deciding between this case and the Corsair 750D.
So I'm asking you fellow overclockers about advice. If you have any of the cases (if so which one) and how do you feel about it? Happy, mad or disappointed? It doesn't seem like the modular parts are easily accessible is that true (I'm in EU so only here matter) ? If you didn't get this one what would be your second choice?

For some info and questions:
I would like to either get the Pro 5 or the maker 5, any opinions on which? (I don't really care for the lightning as I have NZXT hue+ and I have Phanteks fan hub so the only thing I care about is the front panel door andwhen can that be purchased separately and at what price?)
I'm going to water cool it with my own loop and I have the EKWB 140ml res and a 240m rad, but in the future I will go hardline.
My motherboard is the Asus RVE (rampage V extreme) and yes it is E-ATX form factor but it has the same standoffs, it's just wider and it'll cover up like half of the rubber grommets, any objections?
How bad is water cooling support? From the Spec page it seems like it's pretty bad: rear rad 120/140 (it's normal), top rad 280 (not 240?) and only up to 40mm thickness w/o fan and lastly front rad 240/ 280mm and only up to 40mm thickness w/o fan. So all in all i could fit 2 EKWB PE 240mm radiators in the front and top (both are 38mm in thickness) and one EKWB XE 120mm rad in the rear (65mm thick) is this correct? I would also add standard fans to them all.
Thank you for reading this and I really hope you can help me.

Have a good one!
